Respect for doing it but damn, taking a spaghetti slicer like that out in surf like that is just a suicide mission.

Usually it's a matter of keeping up with these waves, but with a foil you can outrun them. Surfing on a blade is beyond cool.

I remember Hamilton and Kalama talking about foiling being the future and I thought...what? A few years later I was out at Los Barriles watching the wind surfers and kite boarders. Probably 80% were foiling.

I sent someone a clip of foiling some decent sized waves the other day and captioned it "Next stop Teahupoo", well here it is. A serious wipe out could be pretty dangerous on one of those things. Good job anyway, thanks for sharing.

We gotta stop meeting like this bro.. haha. I was just looking into these things and im shocked at how much it costs to get going. Like $5000 at least. More exy than a decent 2nd hand car. Doesnt matter with these charlatans, they just want all the silver coins they can collect. Its just a fin, its plastic, fibro and some carbon in some cases. Probably costs $20 to make. We are living among criminals. In every venture today. Especially surf stuff. It should be regulated. This seems to be only aimed at all the LEAST of men, the money people. The middle class and above. The jetski types. Annoying humans. The scum of earth. They can keep it. Good to see you again bruv. Hope life is treating you ok.

@@mackash Hahahahaha good one. I looked around at various things, kite surfing, paddle boarding to try get back in, price, the age and fitness ain't a beneFIT to me, the old neck don't turn enough to let me see what the wave is doing to paddle in. I'll leave a link under to a channel who makes foils and does kits pretty cheap, the whole price problem with 5his could be postage from the states though. I'm going OK, hope y'all goin' good, same old over at Bugs Bunny's place👍🏻

@@dannynysusI got my first board in 1971. 6’3” single fin and what a piece of shit it was, although not as bad as other boards of that era. Got my first 3 fin 10 years later and thought where have you been all my life. Now old and decrepit and unable to surf my last board was a 6’10” fish type design and had so much fun on it, and it kept me in the water in a reasonable fashion till I was late 50’s.

A foil board is going to surf the biggest wave in the world. Where? The speed and lack of resistance is going to make it possible. Getting barreled will be hard due to the speed a foil generates. Laird said it years ago, a foil will make it all possible!
