Thanks for making this video it really does help. I'm just starting off and I have spent a lot of $ and not understanding the sizes of beads and threads. I'm still confused about finding a good source for my supplies. I've got all the tools and treads beads that don't fit the cords etc. My daughter inspired me to start looking into macrame as she asked me to make her a foot thongs for this summer. I'm going to try but I also purchased her the mini macrame board and cords for her so she be inspired to give macrame a try. So here we are beginners so all the support you offered is really appreciated.

Just keep practicing. Your knots will get better. As far as size, use whatever you have.

I only know of the small and the large boards. I personally prefer the smaller board because I work on my couch with the board in my lap, plus I usually make small projects. The larger board is great, though. Either will work.
