"if you build it....they will come." The TLM in churches will draw people, if given wider offering of it, on its own. Word of mouth and good faithful and faith-filled Catholics, will help to propagate the faith in numerous ways. God bless 🙏 our holy and devout priests and religious. +

I don't care how reverent the NO is. I want the prayers that are only in the TLM. The NO deleted these!

When the Novus Ordo mass replaced the Traditional Latin Mass it was just as foreign and difficult to adjust to as the Latin mass is to some of today's generation of Catholics. To those of us who's only experience was the Latin mass, we knew something beautiful and traditional had been lost! What an error of judgment by Vatican ll in an attempt to "modernize" the church! This generation of Catholics is sadly just discovering what tradition is, but how can they know what has already been lost to tradition since they were not raised in tradition, and the Novus Ordo mass has been their only experience, and they had nothing to compare it to. Now some of these catholics have discovered the latin mass and recognize the beauty and tradition that was lost to the Novus Ordo. Catholics today are confused due to the poor leadership of the church who linger and dialogue over important issues that require a more speedy and forthcoming answer to the faithful. The modernists, some of whom don't know or understand the teaching of the church want change that will never or should never take place, and the traditionalists want, and believe, the Church needs, a return to the traditional teaching of the church which includes a return to the traditional latin mass. Will the Catholic church ever recover from its past mistakes and poor judgment, no wonder the church is divided!

How true. There are some weird people attending the Latin mass. However, we worship our Lord and our Lord created and loves all poeple... thank you for your great reports. I love them and it makes me reflect...

In hindsight, Fradd calling the Byzantine Rite "home" is pretty silly now that he no longer attends a Grec0-Catholic parish since moving back to Stubenville

I love Matt Frad, I've watched many of his videos. He is one of my super heroes. Although I have to assert that even though his statements on this video are true and I do agree with them I find that they could have taken another route in order to support the purpose of the documentary (nothing that denies truth). We dont have to denigrate the NO (although it is often celebrated in a way that denigrates the Eucharistic mystery) in order to show the beauty of the TLM; and the opposite, AKA, saying everything is valid and the Church allows it is not a way to show the value of the TLM either. Somehow that is a way of not doing it. I have attended the Divine Liturgy and I attend a NO parish but believe I can say the beauties of the Divine Liturgy without it meaning that the TLM is not beautiful... Both things are true and coexist without opposition. I think that in order to support the purpose of the documentary showing others the truth you have embraced (specially people that have prejudices or fears) can be a helpful contribution. I wished the video would have been more towards that side of the coin that acknowledges (with the expressions utilized) that some people really have wrong concepts about the TLM and that will be edifying for them to know the reality. I appreciate your honesty, Matt Frad. Keep doing great shows.

That’s a interesting point, however when you read about how the NO was constructed and who the crafted the NO, you can’t help but be highly suspicious of the agenda behind the reforms. Look into Annibale Bugnini and read on why he changed the mass and the Holy Week liturgy in the 50’s

@@frankyg6906 I'm aware of that, dear brother. But it is not what is said in the video. Somehow I feel it was omitted and thats what Im saying. Im not asking him to go throw the path of showing the truth about the reform, or the truth about the many abuses that occur at an incredible number of NO Masses... What Im saying is that what was said: Church allows diversity, all Masses are valid Masses, etc, although its true, it doesnt reflect all the truth about the reality and its kind of not talking about the beauties of the TLM, which is the whole purpose of this documentary. And I've seen Matt Fradd Shows and he believes that there is reverence and beauty in the TLM and he dislikes the abuses done at many NO Masses but that wasnt said here and its what let me dissapointed.

It's been my understanding that you're not supposed to change rites (latin to byzantine) without a grave reason...
@MattBurrill

There are a lot of good reasons that people might change rites. A woman might change to her new husband's rite when they get married, for example. It doesn't have to be for a grave reason. But if you want to change rites a second or third time, there would be more scrutiny from your bishop.

The way forward is not Traditional Catholicism. The way forward is reverent celebration of the Ordinary Form. The Holy Spirit has made this abundantly clear through Pope Francis.

This is quite the ridiculous statement. Ultra monetanism on full display. Popes are not exempt from making poor decisions. This recent decision by Pope Francis is an act of spiritual abuse against the faithful.

@@Leocomander it sounds like you reject this teaching from the most recent ecumencial council (accusing Vatican II, and hence Vatican I of being associated with Ultramontanism), which of course would be a sin, if you cling to it. Here is the teaching from Lumen Gentium 25: "This religious submission of mind and will must be shown in a special way to the authentic magisterium of the Roman Pontiff, even when he is not speaking ex cathedra; that is, it must be shown in such a way that his supreme magisterium is acknowledged with reverence, the judgments made by him are sincerely adhered to, according to his manifest mind and will. His mind and will in the matter may be known either from the character of the documents, from his frequent repetition of the same doctrine, or from his manner of speaking."

@@angelicdoctor8016 And Popes can commit mistakes, John XXII centuries ago denied the beatific vision and had to be corrected by theologians, and he admitted his error; Honorius, another Pope was declared a heretic by his successors, so yes, they can commit errors when not speaking ex cathedra

@@alisa4124 You are mistaken as you haven't distinguished between papal opining and papal teaching. No pope has ever formally taught error, with or without the charism of infallibility.
