Matt Kennard is an outstanding journalist. Quite depressing to see how hard it is for excellent professionals like him to make a living.

It's a whole lot less depressing once you've taken it upon yourself to make a difference. ❤

Brilliant initiative, Matt! This is si desperately needed. For years, I had no interest in politics and didn't read ir listen to anything because the mainstream media narrative was so utterly simplistic and boring and made no sense. It's only since discovering alternative media online that I finally feel I have a place in this world and yhat what's going on finally makes any sense. Thankyou and keep up the fantastic work! P.s. To the hosts, please don't lump questions together, let your speakers answer one at a time because answering a whole lot together just leads to nuances in answers being lost and is harder to follow. I'm not sure why people have started to do this, maybe tgey think it's cool or saves time but aside from capitulating to the distraction technique and time pressured corporate cultural impetus, I've seen brilliant speakers fail to answer important questions properly because they forget them or it interrupts their immediate response and chain of thought. It's not cool,.is counterproductive and insidiously allows the medium to curtail the power of q and a sessions.

As long as the Eds & Meds are operated on a business model rather than as a public good, we won't ever create a meaningful space for young journalists to flourish. I am just grateful that journalists like Matt Kennard and Chris Hedges are doing serious work today.

I wonder if the reporting on Cyprus being used by aircraft by Matt Kennard had anything to do with the warning that was given by the well known Lebanese resistance group earlier today.

A big thank you to you all for giving TIME to Matt Kennard. It's so damn clear that THE media does put all its might into disregarding, ignoring, cancelling and disrespecting issues, or individuals that do not serve them.... or the system. Will definitately go and look for Matt Kennard's littérature... WATCHING from France and, so lucky to speak and understand english...

Great video - we need to come together and form a coalition of organisations. There are many alternative journalists but at the moment it’s all so fragmented. While it’s so atomised it will be conquered… I’m thinking Novara Media, Owen Jones channel, Double Down etc

Also… thinking and looking forward, the ‘war’ of information will be shaped and controlled by who ever controls the various AI platforms. Disinformation/misinformation will be pretty much uncontrolled when these systems of AI are fully up and running. Formaing a coherent alternative media needs to focus in getting the open source AI platforms on side (if indeed they are ‘open’)

Going 'off grid' in the intellectual sense or even in the literal sense is deliberately made all but an impossibility now. More power to your elbow Matt and keep fighting the good fight.

It's not just lying by omission that represents a problem for any modern day journalists with integrity, it's the sheer volume of material being pumped out all the time. More than ever it's akin to panning for gold. Hard, laborious thankless, sometimes risky work just to find those precious few glints at the bottom of the pan.
