My dad is this way, he loves hunting and always has. He gets so excited to hunt he can’t sleep at night some times. He’ll hunt every day of the season and see plenty of deer more often than not, but he doesn’t usually shoot unless it’s a monster or we need meat. He really just loves getting out there and experiencing all of it and I think any true hunters could all agree with that.

That's how I feel. I feel really bad every time I kill an animal, and make sure it doesn't have any young. I don't take the prime ones or the trophies, but the ones that are naturally on the outs. This kinda reminds me of something my dad told me about. He said one of his friends from high school ended up murdering some people. Apparently the thing all of them had in common was they were all deer hunters and had a goatee in fact I think the guy called the cops and admitted he was the one they were looking for and when questioned over the phone the reason, he said he still has some tags left (referring to deer tags). My dad (also a deer hunter) said while his “friend” was on this killing spree he actually came to our house and was asking my mom where he was, at the time my dad was at the hunting camp in the next state over hunting deer, and apparently the guy was asking weird questions to my mom like “how do you feel about how he is always gone, hunting?”. My dad said either the guy was there to kill him next or he was there to pay my dad back cause he owed $50. My dad also said he think the friend did it because he apparently really liked deer, in fact he even had a pet deer and he trained his dogs to not go after deer, only rabbits. So my dad thinks his friend basically went insane (not sure what caused it) and proceeded to go on a murder spree, targeting deer hunter with goatee’s the guy is still in jail I wasn’t told his name though. I think this took place sometime between 2017 and 2019. This could be some bs story my dad made up. EDIT: I guess it wasn’t some BS story just looked it up and found some articles on it apparently the guys name was Ryan Sharpe went on a murder spree in Louisiana

I find it hard to believe that you went 6 years without wondering/googling it for yourself BEFORE this comment that "randomly" brought you back to it (if it's on your mind often, you'd look into it). This just seems like a fake ass comment to me. My research is saying you know about this story, and acted like it's a family friend. Nowhere did it mention targeting deer hunters or men with goatees... his entire confession was "him fulfilling tags for the government" Carrol Breeden also did NOT have a goatee, but a regular beard. In fact, a majority of them had regular beards and not goatees😂
