I'm sure it's more common with men, and it sadly does happen on both sides. 'Being Well' podcast and the book 'How To Be An Adult' should be mandatory. If we collectively got better at healing core attachment wounds and trauma, our societies would be way better. People wouldn't be so afraid of committing -- hookup culture would most likely become less of a thing as a result. Sex is so much better when it's with a partner with real connection. Hookups seem shallow imo (which is why I've never been for it).

I disagree. Bearing children and raising them is the best, your partner is an adult, no one completes you. The institution of marriage is made to benefit men, you marry 2 entities, your parter and the government, its a business. of course none of this is laid out when you are young and naive, but once you go through family court and larne the laws of marriage, you realize that the state can take your kids away and parents and partners have very little rights, the government wins. It's a con and more people, specially ladies who want to be empowered should educate themselves with a divorce attorney before they get married, THEN they'll know what they're really getting into. If the partnership lasts a lifetime, bless them, mind you I never once spoke about happiness. The best partnerships Ive seen are the ones where the expectations are Clear cut and the 'business' arrangement of who is responsible for what are clear and so are the consequences. humans are flawed and temptation is everywhere.

Your spouse should feel like home. You have to be picky. The person you pick, you need to build with. There is no time for jealousy of the spouse's success because the two of you should be building that empire together. You support each other and you grow as a couple, family and run your own business. Your partner should also be your best friend. No relationship is perfect because we all have flaws, but I know I can go to mine, and we will figure it out. Also, as a co-founder of a domestic violence organization in Philadelphia, I can't stress this enough. Be very picky with your partner because they can either build you or destroy you. You could be the best at what you do but having the wrong person in your life, will destroy you in the end. People who are picky, know what they want and most times, it isn't just the looks. Yes, that's the first thing as that's natural but you have to bring more to the table to build this empire. We have one life, and we live that every day. Make sure you live it with someone who brings out the best version of you and together, your possibilities for success are endless. All the best to Matt John, and their teams.

As a married woman, with two boys with the man I love- being married is so much better than hookup culture. Of course the thing is to pick someone you can grow with, share your good and bad times with and have the same goals for what life looks like together. For instance me and my husband love our children. They are our most favorite people in existence and even when times are hard we always come together and show up for our kids. I’ve been with him since I was 18 years old and now at 24 and hearing other people around my age talk about these exact struggles of dating and wanting to find a special person it does hit me that I’ve truly been blessed. A lot of society makes it sound so fun to just be with random people temporarily and never make connections or have feelings toward anyone. And maybe that’s fine temporarily. But eventually we all want to find home in another person.

I tell my kids the same thing when looking for a good person to be in a relationship with: “If I were trying to make myself a better person unselfishly, where would I go?” That is precisely where you will find them. For example: volunteering at an animal shelter, helping out at a soup kitchen, joining a fundraiser for a local charity to fight cancer…. Worst case scenario none of the participants at that event hit it off with you, but you did something good anyway. The next event you might have better luck but again it’s all good for your soul.

Society's moral compass is so off, people are searching to be loved, but if they can't except that Jesus loves them, then love will be hard to recognize. So instead, they remain shallow in their emotional lives to keep from getting hurt. Too afraid to commit. Intimacy, we need it to feel fulfilled. Even when it's just companionship. Lots of lonely people out there.

Here's the thing. I think Matt has a bit of a different view because on the inside he is the guy he was a few years ago. The outside changing for him didn't change who he is as a person. It was a bit of an extreme change and while it's probably nice in some ways, it's also probably exhausting and frustrating in others. I think he has dealt with the change and fame rather well all-in-all, I'm sure having a good sense of humor and being able to laugh at yourself helps. So good for him looking for a girl who is beautiful inside and out. Unfortunately in LA that's almost impossible. I'm sure the kind of girls he would be interested in aren't out at the same events he is, and I think this is probably true of a lot of people in entertainment. Good luck to you both and wishing only the best!

This makes me respect Matt Rife so much more. I don't know much about him, but I've seen some of his comedy on KZitem over the past couple months.... I guess I just assumed, from the way females in his audience sometimes interact with him and the type of jokes he has sometimes, that he was the type of guy to just sleep around. But I'm intrigued to find out that he is so picky and looking for the right type of girl for himself, not just anyone who will throw themselves at him. It's honestly very refreshing to see someone famous and 'good looking' respect themselves enough to look for a respectable woman. I hope he finds someone good that will love him for himself and not his money or fame. 🙌 I wish more men thought like this. I love my boyfriend, but he hasn't yet fully matured past this way of thinking, that men who get with lots of women are 'high quality', etc.... I see things the opposite, that those men are actually lower quality imo, not ideal partners in anyway, and that good men are the ones who go for quality versus quantity and have strong values. 🤔🤷🏻♀️

Being picky isn’t a bad thing, if you’re looking to wife someone up they should have the qualities you want in them since you’ll be living the rest of your life with them. But on the flip side you have to be the best you can possibly be so you have more options to choose from

There is this mindset where you know what’s healthy for you and then there’s the one that never grows up. They will burn through their life force fast and die young. Idk why but listen to this song: Go slow by Luscious Jackson

The vibe I'm getting is im practicing not sleeping with a bunch of women because I don't want to do that when I'm married.

A lot of female fans of Matt are unhappy right about now that he doesn't do show hook ups. Lol.

Lol I hear ya, re: not dating in entertainment industry. I need a plumber, mechanic, construction worker, actually an audio engineer would be perfect! He can edit my voiceovers, lol!
