I'll take a leave, the room to breathe The choice to leave it I'll throw away a chance at greatness just to make this dream come into play I don't know if I'll find a way 'Cause I'm sick of myself when I look at you something is beautiful and true. +F1JV Ya, I recall Matthew said people were telling him "why don't you write some more upbeat songs" after the darker Altered Beast. The product was this great collection of yet more dark lyrics, cleverly hidden in big power pop sound. Coming off two previous successful records, he seemed to still be in the whirlwind. I'll never forget meeting him at the time at a Best Buy in MN and having him sign my CD. Afterward he raced through the store grabbing literally armfuls of music for himself before they rushed him out. He told an assistant "don't worry, I'll pay for these myself". Great times - thanks Matt.
