@bhela I have the tape over there and I often watch the it to see him, and it reminds me a lot of memories… the minors talking, going out the mine. I went to see them, I gave two free concerts to help them at that time, they were on strike and life was hard, they stayed two months in the mine, they had nothing left to eat, I did two concerts to try to help them.

@bhela Maurice : “The Roche family with Maurice André it’s a long story. I knew papa when he was fifteen, no, I was fifteen, he was a bit older than me, and we did all the small popular balls of the countryside with some stories, he was so funny. Frédo was a wonderful man. We reminded friends for all our lives, and André and Mireille, I wish you both a happy time…

@vyo619 Yes, at age 77. You got a problem with that? Anytime you want to post a video of yourself playing Michael Haydn or the 2nd Brandenburg we'd love to hear it. Maybe the first movement of Telemann D major?

@bhela (Looking pictures) “I’m with Frédo some years ago, I had dark hairs then, naturally, and I can tell you Frédo has been the great friend of my life, because when you do so many balls together, and have so much fun together, and bad times too but very few… It’s a photo that I always look at, Frédo is always with me. In fact, he is immortalized in my “Grand Echiquier” (very popular and cultural French TV show of the 80’s where he was once or two times the principal guest).

This is a very interesting mini docu. Check for some good videos here on my channel, like 'Maurice André rare footage'. And there's a very good one, 'Maurice André Intime', in French.

@bhela … a “gendarme” (policeman in uniforme depending on the army, in small cities and countryside, while “police nationale” depends on Ministry of Interior and is only in big cities)who was in the street “des Hortes” where was his store, and the gendarme said “I want to penalize a certain someone” so he went up…

@bhela I had some buddies from the mine that I wanted on the set, buddies I had worked with in the mine and played with in some small popular balls, and all the musicians and big stars, you know, like, what was his name… the singer… Henri Salvador, and so on… Of course, I had since the beginning some buddies from the mine that I respected and that I wanted there in the show ; and we had the “7 d’or” (award of the FrenchTV) for the best show of the year, and Frédo is with us.

@bhela Well, I keep a great souvenir of Alès first, and of Frédo and his family, Germaine and all the children. Of course, I don’t know the grandchildren, but I hope someday they will come and see me, because you know, in the Basque Country (in the south west of France very near the Spanish border, where he lives now) there are bombs, but well, we avoid them (he laughs). Voilà ! That’s funny you do… (?)

@bhela So, he went up… And while he was there, they hang up his bicycle twenty meters high in the telephone wires. When the gendarme came out, he said (with a heavy local accent) : “Ladies and gentlemen, you won’t get rid of that so easy.” We had many stories from the time we played in balls in Génolhac and so on…” Then he starts playing…
