Hi. The tinging with chimes is easy enough to fix provided you have a passion & have/had rather a lot of Westminster chime clocks over the years and can grasp the simple DIY jobs. Regarding the problem with it chiming at all different times like the 14 it did in the video. I had a Westminster chime grandmother clock, and one time it started to count 13 times on the hour, every hour. My clock maker told me something had gone in the movement but could thankfully be replaced, and I'd say the same thing has happened to your clock.

We have decided to have a clock repairman come and look at it. We bought some special Liberty oil to oil the bearings and sleeves to see if they are warn

Doubtless you will have solved this problem now but if not it is more than likely the problem is the movement is over-riding the shut off when it reaches the bottom of the chime rack on completion of the chime. Could just be a minor adjustment. You would need to remove the dial put the movement back in the clock and watch it strike the hour. You will see when it reaches the bottom of the rack if it shuts down or continues to flip out again and keep chiming. Might just need the shut off pin adjusting.as it strikes you will see a rotating brass snail wheel with a cut out groove in it .this locks down the chime and sometimes they wear and need the edge filing flat again.

Seth Brown yes, it seems after we oiled all the parts amazingly helped get the clock back on track. I was going to have it fixed by a clock repairman. I hope by oiling it will keep it running correctly
