After re-aligning & sorting out a dry joint in the transmitter, plus replacing the TX LED, it was time to test the radio with Mr Chippie.
As usual, he drives along our 6-mile 'difficult terrain for radio' test route, stopping at the 5-mile point to conduct a static test on low power (400mW).
The radio worked well throughout.
Full power was 4W. Receive sensitivity was 0.44uV fpr 12dB SINAD.
Our continued thanks to Thunderpole for kindly supplying the T3000 radio we have in the test vehicle at no cost to us. This is the sole reason for the 'paid promotion' flag on this video.
