What do you think about putting them on sneakers to run on icy pavement?

Hi Roger. If the soles are at least 10mm thick and solid (not hollow), then it is okay. One of my colleagues has them in his running shoes and his only additional comment was that towards the front, where the soles are thinner, he had to angle the studs so as not to feel them inside the shoe.

This is awesome 👏 I have a pair of bird man lugz that look like they have mad grip but is totally the opposite 🙄 they are like curling shoes on ice 😂 this is a great idea and they don’t damage the soles it’s seems. Nice video 👍 oh ya and whoever gave the 1 dislike is a mook. 😉👏😎✌️

Thanks! Yes, without studs shoes give very little grip on ice. 🙂

hello, How do I know which studs to pick for winter boots? (I do not what them to drill through the sole) do these work well for ice fishing, even when there is snow on the ice? does the drill mounting adapter come included? thanks

Hi Sean, thanks for the question! You can see the two types suitable for shoes on the following page - www.maxigrip.se/en/screw-studs/products/shoe-studs, the adapter is included. They are screwed to a depth of approx. 10mm, so the sole obviously needs to be thicker than that. They work fine on ice with snow on. We have plenty of customers who use them for ice fishing and also on the boots for Touring / "Nordic" skates.

Nice vid. May I ask how they are indoors? Do the screws mark up floors and stuff. I am not always in a position to take them on and off in the places where I go. Thanks.

Thanks for your comment. Not recommended indoors as they are indeed likely to leave marks on many types of flooring.

The so called add on "Chain" for shoe has never worked right for me as the elastic band or chain itself brake in no time and you don't have the traction anymore, when most needed. But how comes always better ideas come from a land that an orange top moron is not their president? I'll make a boot as you show, with regular short studs to see how it goes or the other option for us is to buy a football (American) out of season, when they are dirt cheap, on sale and enjoy the iron that comes pre installed. Only if they were boots.
