maybe a good usages is on separating the db-context one for reading with no tracking and one for writing with tracking.

That is a completely valid point. And you are 100% right in scenarios where you have a system with distinct read and write actions, as is the case when using CQRS pattern. But in simpler cases you can have a single context and then just specify whether you wish to track changes or not by passing a parameter or having separate methods for tracked and untracked actions. :)
