Hey Darren, I am about to run Google Ads for the company I am working at. We are selling aluminium profiles online. We do have a decent amount of site visitors (800 daily) and also buyers. With Google Ads we hope to maximize this numbers. The question for me now is which way to go. I don't know if I should maximize conversions or target CPA. It's not like our products are extremely expensive, but they aren't too cheap either. I do not really know which way to go - especially because I am not experienced in G Ads yet. Thank you in advance, Darren!

Just discovered your channel. I like your style. I have a question. I had a campaign which was running well with maximise conversions but suddenly started to become very expensive with hih CPClick rates. If an average conversion only brings in $25 commission what Target CPA should I set? Is CPA (action) the same as (conversion)? I want a budget of $100 a day max. and aim for an ROI of 2.

I'm confused. A quick question? My budget is £10.00 a day spend (small business) I've just switched from TCPA to maximise Conversions. Both did not spend my daily budget. What am I doing wrong? I switched bcos TCPA didn't spend my budget. But now MC isn't. I read the target bid should be 3 times your daily budget for TCPA. Is this true? In my case £10 a day target bid £30. 11 yrs I've used this campaign. It was previously working now its not.

great video! I have some questions: 1. If my account (more than a year old) has historical conversion data, and I am launching new campaigns, is it possible to start with Target CPA right off the bat? So far I have been doing that but the new campaigns do not perform as well as my old campaigns on manual bidding. 2. Is it better to start off every new campaign on manual CPC / Max conversions, let google get data for it and then switch it to target CPA?
@darrentaylordigital

Personally I prefer manual CPC for brand new campaigns, then migrate them to target CPA or ROAS if I've got conversion value data. If you've got high frequency of old conversion data, you can probably use target CPA straight away. But be sure you're not getting like 1-2 conversions a day. For target CPA to work well, usually need 5+ conversions per day, or the data isn't good enough for it to work well. In my experience anyway!

Start high and work backwards, if you restrict your target too much, your ads will struggle to even deliver. Not ridiculously high, but high enough to give Google some wiggle room to improve. You need data and restrictions stop data

Hey there! How long do you have to have campaigns converting in order for Google to figure how much you need to spend daily to get the target cpa? Also how do the amount keywords and keyword match type do you add to each Ad Group play a role in the volume?
@kurosakirahul

The Target CPA doesn't work on your daily spend band. It's the number of conversions you've received in the last 30 days and how much you've spend on the clicks. Based on which an automated valu would be given when you go to the settings of your campaign and you would see how much google is recommending to put it as TCPA

I am using target cpa strategy for our business. It was started a month ago. I was confused earlier to begin with maximize conversion or target cpa strategy. Our manager is eager to get more leads in a day. I started with target cpa and it was generating 1 to 3 leads per day. But with the pressure from the management I was forced to change the strategy to maximize conversion, but it costed us a lot, but didn't get conversions. Now I have changed to the target cpa strategy, I want to know how long will it take for Google to optimize my strategy and give us more leads per day. Hoping for your kind advice.

If you're using target CPA and achieving 1-3 conversions and want to migrate to maximize conversions, you'll need to give it time and also expect the cost per conversion to increase. If you give it a few weeks and you're not seeing more conversions than target CPA, then revert
@josephmcdonald5754

So basically Target CPA is you manually setting your Ad cost per sale budget, so with the left over money you can try to get more volume? And Maximize Conversions is you allow Google's A.I have total control? Wouldn't the robot be smarting then us humans and have more time to look into the best winning processes?

Depends on volume. If your campaign had a low volume of conversion, it's likely smart bidding will make little difference (or sometimes it could make things worse) However if you're seeing like 10 conversions a day, smart bidding will work well. Keeps close eye and give it time, as you say you can always revert, but I would advise you save what your current bids are for your keywords too, just in case.

Target CPA has a tendency to slow our ads down to almost nearly getting no impressions, even when choosing a CPA higher than recommended. Maximizing conversion has a tendency to blow through our budgets with little or no conversions. Enhanced cpc is what I prefer. Manually bidding has done the best for us.
@darrentaylordigital

You're not alone. I've seen the same story countless times! Google's AI isn't good enough to beat a human in many instances. Though campaigns with really high volumes of conversation work well with smart bidding, but I'm talking like 500 conversions pee month
@libertariancountry3920
5 жыл бұрын
@@darrentaylordigital accumulatively we are able to get over 1000 conversions per month, but this is stretched out over dozens of campaigns. Even in campaigns with billions of available impressions we've not been very successful with CPA. I've changed the ad copy, added responsive ads, changed to linear attribution, still no long term improvement. I've had campaigns go from 50 per day, down to 25, then 8, then 1 or 2, and eventually none. I wish I could get it to work.

Optimizing your campaigns by adding RSA working on key words so and so forth work partially on reducing your average cost per click. The max conversions bidding strategy never actually blows your budget. It tries to check for potential customers based upon past history of the user and bid accordingly.if you have $10/ day budget you might spend max 2x times your daily budget on days where the possibility of conversions is high.. How ever your monthly budget ($10 x 30.4 = 304) would never exceed. And google needs 2-3 weeks of time to adapt to these changes
@fires1de613

Hey dude, I still don't get it, the Maximize conversions bidding strategy helps to increase the number of conversions you get within your budget meaning you should get as many conversions as possible, therefore, as I understand it, this strategy is supposed to take into consideration your average daily budget and set bids accordingly to get the most from it, right? Or does this strategy simply spend your budget setting bids at whatever price until you run out of money?
@alphie6420

it pretty much focuses on using your daily budget, and this may cause the CPC to rise drastically but obviously try and get you those conversions.

pushing for traffic bid strategies with KZitem ads is a hard ask, as your creative is incredibly important.
