@@jaghad Please read my second reply. I meant it is better for beginners to start with perfect form so that they do not hurt themselves. It is better to use momentum at a later time when people are more experienced and understand when they should use it as a technique.

Dog you serious? Lol. When do you ever lift anything stiff like how he showed in the video? It’s unnatural. It’s a perfect way to snap down city. A little bit of motion ain’t gonna leave any gains on the table, worse gains is tearing something and not hitting any delts for weeks

If you do them with a slight lean forward you get the medial delt to do more work on the lateral raise. If you want full isolation (and get alot people bitching about shoulder impingement) you do the same thing but you have your thumbs down pinky up and flair your elbows to the front. When you go up in this motion you notice its impossible to raise your arms above your head but you will notice your medial head getting hit much harder. For the shoulder impingement experts you do this exercise with light weight like that man says in this video and you will have zero shoulder impingement issues. Alternatively you can do the same motion doing wide grip upright rows focusing on the same form i explained; if you do them regular you get your traps involved on the movement.

Yea, you might want to slow down a bit at the top to control the lowering of the weight. This will help with your tendon and ligament strength and help prevent injuries… also, when you bring the weight up to the apex, turn the inside of the weight slightly downward, as if you’re holding a cup and pouring out the liquid. This slight turn at the top of the range of motion will help build strength and definition. But don’t just toss the weight up and let it come down… remember that with most exercises your return should be controlled and take almost twice as long as the ascent.
