Why tf did this only get 840 views yet, I’m speechless

That's how the algorithm works. It distributes recommendations more or less evenly for small channels so the average newbie video would get around 10 views a day. With so few people, it's hard to pick up momentum. 2 months later it's at 6k, and 2 months from now it'll be 30k. After that it'll take maybe a week to reach 200k. I saw this happen with like 8 youtubers. It just takes a bit of time and consistent uploading.

Trick is to not care about planning things at first. Play around first, plan later, or you get stuck overthinking useless things or just go blank.

You made this before blueprints!!! Brother I admire your perseverance with all the materials needed for this build. Nice job. You should do a tutorial on the signs. I love the map of the plant. You need a new title or something. Like best employee of the planet... something like that. Yea and a gold coffee cup!

One thing I noticed you do that I wish other satisfactory streames would take from you, is that you take as much time to make the video as you did building that factory. In other words you put a lot of thought into it. Thnx for the great vid and I will have a look at the nuclear factory since Im not even close to build mine. (taking my time)

For your oversight train you could just have smart splitters redirecting your deliveries back to the correct lines as the trains flips with each pass. For future reference. I also have had lots of problems with trains building up waiting which then causes them to become blocked. So I ended up doing a similar thing building wait lines to prevent interactions getting blocked

I like the Waiting bay idea. I had the same issue with a reversing train "Push-me, Pull-you" and creating the switchback reverser too.

HAHAH Seeing this is pain to me. I remember completly planning this out roughly a year ago. Setting for a plan to go for zero waste, calculating that I need 252 Nuclear power plants, checking if it is possible to get enough of all the other ressources with alternate recipes, planning out what alternate recipes I want to use, where I can get all the resources, planning out the location of the factories for the different components (wanted to make it a little more decentralised), a train network, just everything. And then came the building part and I was like NOPE, lost interest. Invested like 3 or 4 weeks of my (somewhat limited, but not non existend) freetime in planning the whole thing just to lose interest when it came to the execution part. I'm somewhat happy to see that this actually took you 900 hours and knowing that even if I have started it I probably would've never finished this (thumbs up to your dedication). Back then I had a little bit of motivation out of the fact that it looked like I'd be the first one to build this and it would have been a bummer for me if I found this video somewhere along the way. I'm happy that I didn't start the project back then and left it in the planning phase, maybe after release on 10th september I'll have a look into this again and see if I want to start this again or not. Now that I know it is possible and I have a comparison project for the scale I might revive my own project.

I found some alts that make the factory to power the power plants work out to a 40 reactor to 1 support factory ratio. Even with the alts as a faster work around to building a vanilla factory it still took me like 15-20 hours to build that thing. Which doesn't include walling everything up and making it look fancy. Everything was still on floating platforms but at least logistics were taken care of (I made all my busses look pretty right away). I can only imagine how long this took. Do you play only one save?

I have done similar build a couple of times. It reall get me frustrated that the only viable place to build it is on the water. I wish the same power could be produced with far less reactors. Or if machines were a lot smaller.

dude, your "tour" kinda sucked. it was just you stumbling around. how about you first learn what your factory actually looks like, then you say this comes in, gets turned into this to do that etc.
