As an RC dude, I am pleasantly surprised coming up in this vid and your familiar voice as I’m looking for new MTB tires!

In 20 years of riding , Maxxis has been a Loyal and predictable tyre for most of my Mtb lifestyle adventures but mostly flipping corners predictions. A fresh set on any of my bikes make it like spring again. Difficult to go an other way when i know their characteristic and proprieties in most of the terrains and contact surfaces. Thank you for the video , great insight.

I've seen you at Eagle Rock in Alum Rock about a month ago. My buddy and I were on Levo's. I couldn't put a finger on where I had seen you before, until I remembered watching all these videos. Convinced me to buy a SC Bullit. Who knows when its going to arrive though.

Right on!!!! The Bullit is so good. Comes with Assegai and Minion DHR as well. The cool thing with EMTBs is one does not need to compromise with the tires. Can just get the grippiest, most capable tires around if your style and terrain warrant it. Most other bikes, running an Assegai kills so much of the climbing abilities of the bike and rider

EXO+ casing has been greatly reinforced this 2023 season with 60TPI construction. More weight again in 2023 but more support and stability riding at lower pressures. 2.6" EXO+ tires are now reliable and then it's DD 2x120 TPI casing and DH 2x60 TPI casings. Sizings and different casing offers are improving as well specially on most demanded ones in 2.4, 2.5 and 2.6 inch widths. Good stuff !!

Concerning the Aggressor, 29er size, it is definitely a rear tire. I swapped out my worned out DHR rear tire and added the Aggressor. Very fast rolling tire, did well with grippy hero Dirt. However, when the trail conditions cha fed to dry and loose, the Aggressor lists its appeal with me. Sliding all over the place, poor traction with dry/loose trails. I eventually swapped it out and was lucky enough to purchase another rear DHR 2.4 29er..... I suppose since COVID, tires are available fewer numbers, and has recently forced me to purchase 2 to 3 sets at a time now. My front tire is the DHR 2.6 29er, awesome front tire!!! Grippy on all conditions, Hero Dirt, loose and dry. Very heavy tire!!! Overall, I highly recommend my tire set, most due to my local trail conditions, dry, loose and pretty much blown out. Great video here!!!

Yes, we've tried the same and it's a no-go. Slip 'n slide on the loose, summer soil.

On levo, I got assagai maxx grip exo plus up front and a dhf dd in rear, not sure but wanted maxx terra. On levo sl dhf exo up front and aggressor dd 2.3 rear. On sl and levo 2.5 inch. At 235 pounds can't get by with lighter tires.

That is such a good, good combo. So capable, grippy and safe. And the bike negates the climbing downsides of real knobby and protected tires.

Assegai is it also the best straight line traction on the rear ? ie climbing
