Arthur fucked up and he wasn't a good person until the end when he did everything he could to right his wrongs but he still had a hand in the murder of more than a handful of innocent people and ruined the lives of many since bank money for example wasn't federally insured back then. Imagine in Alternate reality where Dutch wasn't the leader but Hosea and encountered in the same events they were. Hosea would; 1. Never did Blackwater, he knows the risk of robbing ferry lines and it can go wrong real quick as he said because they had no escape routes and too much bloodshed, Pinkertons wouldn't had caught up to their acts. 2. He would be a more successful outlaw than Dutch. he knows what he's doing and what he has to do in situations, he's always a level minded individual who knows how to read people. Dutch always ruins their plan by not being loyal to one family for example. Hosea clearly stated they should stick to ONLY 1 FAMILY to be loyal on because when you double cross Gray and Braithwaites it could be chaos he said but Dutch insists because he was blinded on the gold instead of sticking up to the main plan and their robberies would go smooth. 3. He would never rob Leviticus Cornwall, he knows he's not a man to be messed with and he has control over Pinkertons, he knows this more than Dutch ever did. back in Colter, he explained to Dutch that robbing Cornwall would be their death sentence and indeed it did. 4. He would've been an honorable outlaw like Otis Miller. Hosea never wanted to hurt people. he casually shares this with Lenny in their conversations during chapter 2. they're the closest bunch. even Charles admires and looks up to Hosea and Arthur. all he ever wanted was to retire in peace and keep everyone alive as he could before he "passes away" 5. He would've kicked out Micah and Mr. Strauss, meaning Arthur might not have contracted TB in the process. Hosea knows Micah isn't to be trusted judging by his demeanor and looks, Mr. Strauss' business dealings isn't ideal and no sense of honor like he said himself in the game. he sometimes had arguments with the two of them. 6. Dime Novels - Hosea and his gang would've been in dime novels with his adventures after they disappeared completely to Australia or Tahiti. 7. Arthur looks up to Dutch, but he felt more embrace from Hosea as a father figure and admittedly likes Hosea even more. Arthur is more loyal than anything but when two factions collide and everyone who were honorable, they'd side with Arthur. this counts Hosea, Mrs. Grimshaw, Lenny, Sean, Kieran, and Charles. 8. Clean Escape - Hosea wants to retire and buy a ranch, meaning he'll conduct AT LEAST 4 bank robberies to do that. but how? simple. less heat, the better. Pinkerton doesn't work vigilantly unless if you commit high profile crimes like massacres, ferry job, or messing with millionaires at that time. Hosea would've drank coconut while eating mangoes in Tahiti if anything. bank robberies are dealt by the local low and bounty hunters, that's their job and they all know that. 9 Real respect, Hosea is truly respected by all of his members, including Micah even saying the old man has more wisdom than a thousand Bills combined in which Bill laughs it out. Hosea points his gun towards Bill because sometimes Bill can go too far. he didn't want Bill's more showy side because despite Bill actually contributing for the gang ranging from hunting or money-making schemes, he always has the need to show that he did something. Hosea even taught Jack how to read, of which Jack grew fond of thanks to Hosea's influence. 10. Great ending - we wouldn't have a depressing ending to the game of both if he was the leader. he taught Arthur that revenge is a fool's game and he clearly is against it. it's not worth fighting over something that isn't tangible or redemption but to honor the deaths instead of doing something profoundly stupid without planning it properly.

"I did." Those were the last words I heard Arthur Morgan say in my game. And it actually was the best way I think to go. Because those words mean so much. Because he did. He worked hard for the gang, and when Dutch gave in and became who he really was, he worked hard to save those he cared about and even saved his best friend John, knowing that possible riches were near him, and helping John escape from Micah and Dutch mere minutes before his death. And that really just hits home to me. So yes Arthur, you did. And I am so happy I got to see you do all that you did

GTA V is a good game. I had fun with it, beat it twice, totaled about 160 hours. I remember some of the activities and a couple quests. The protagonists were pretty great. I have fond memories of playing it. Red Dead Redemption 2 is a masterpiece. I had so much fun playing it, but it also genuinely made me think, it made me laugh and it made me cry. It taught me important lessons and it broke my heart. I beat RDR2 three times, and just started my fourth after 1.5 years off. I have almost 1000 hours logged (story mode only.) RDR2 changed the way I think of some things. It affected who I am as a person in some pretty fundamental ways. So much of this game and its characters and how they made me feel and what they made me think is indelibly etched into my mind in ways that are no less real than the memories I have of high school. After my first playthrough I was left emotionally shaken for months. Sadness, regret, joy, disbelief, pride, so many emotions. Even though I know what's coming, it still breaks me a little every time, and it always will. That's a good thing. Rockstar likes to think GTA V is their crowning achievement because they're most concerned with money. However, the true fact of the matter is that RDR2 is undeniably their magnum opus, whether they like it or not. Few games have had half the emotional impact on me that this game provided. RDR2 is on the same level as The Last of Us in that regard. It breaks my heart that Rockstar has abandoned this game. It feels like the most tragic kind of oversight. This game will always be special to its core fan base, and I just have one thing to say to Rockstar about it: "Be loyal to what matters." -Arthur Morgan.

The sun was shining, nature was singing, and everything was beautiful but it still felt so bitter sweet. After I finished burying him I went inside and cried my eyes out for hours remembering just how much he meant to me and how lonely the house would be without him, but thankfully he passed peacefully with family which is better than most of us will get, that's all I asked for him was that he'd go getting love as he loved everyone.

I was in college at the time so i stayed at home when I wasn't on campus, he was a huge fan of westerns and when he saw me playing the opening valentine sections he got hooked. I restarted for him and we played through that whole game during the winter. I'd play and he'd comment and watch, he loved that it was basically an interactable western movie. That became our thing, we played through the entire game every winter. My dad passed away from brain cancer this year and I haven't had the heart to even look at the game, but I heard this song the other day and it brought back all the happy memories. Im gonna be replaying this masterpiece every winter from now on.

I was so hyped to finally play RDR2 after avoiding all the trailers and reviews, I wanted to go in knowing nothing. Imagine my surprise when the prologue starts and I see Dutch and the rest of the gang. "It's a prequel! Oh...it's a prequel" that kind of disappointed me a little because no matter what happens certain characters will need to be in a certain place for RDR1 to happen. Despite knowing the eventual outcome I played what has to be one of my favorite video game experiences bar none. In the end despite my expectations to the contrary, it turns out I had fun.

I had the same experience except I never even played rdr1. All I knew was that John Marston was the protagonist in that game and I didn't know his fate so I didn't know rdr2 was actually a prequel.....and I'm glad because not knowing the events of rdr1 made me enjoy rdr2 so much more

The vocals in this version have a wider range, and puts more emphasis on the fiddle/violin/stringed instrument than the low honor version, which conversely makes use of an organ that this doesn't have. Also, and I'm not sure if this is due to the volume you recorded at, but the bass in the low honor recording sounds stronger. This sounds more choral, overall.

This is what I like about a game. Instead of being evil and reckless, those who choose to do the good in every situation instead of consistent robbery and trickery for money. Even at the end of the main campaign you start out with little money. Basically teaching you that instead of being a ruthless money giant, be good, and you will get rewarded with true Red Dead Redemption...

"I just don't want any more folks to die, Dutch." -Hosea Matthews This one stuck for me ever since Chapter 1 and hearing it again in Chapter 6, after Hosea himself had died, was the most memerable moment of the entire game, really reminding the player of how wrong everything went and how it was foreshadowed from the start, right before it all came crashing down for good.

Arthur, at heaven: "Where am I?" Lenny, running up to Arthur with Hosea not far behind: "Arthur! You made it! D-did you kill the rat? Who was it?" Arthur: "Lenny! Th- The rat was Micah, I wasnt able to kill him, and Hosea, I'm sorry about what happened, i feel a fool I couldn't see through Dutch sooner" Hosea: "We were all fools, you were a good man while you were alive Arthur, that's what's important" Arthur: "Why, thank you, but I wasn't a good man, I don't know why I'm here" Hosea: "You helped people that needed helping, fed them when they needed feeding, and shot them when they needed shooting, there's no better a man than that" Arthur: "I- I suppose I tried to change when we left Blackwater, I truly did, maybe despite my best efforts, I did" Sean and Kieran approach Arthur Arthur: "Sean you bastard! I could've sworn we'd be burning in hell together after all we did" Sean: "Oh trust me Arthur, if i had to listen to you blabber for eternity I wouldn't need the burning, that'd be torture enough" Arthur: "Is Colm here? What about Susan?" Hosea: "Colm certainly isnt here, and Susan is resting, but there are others you should know" The crowd parts for Arthur to see his wife and kid. "Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness." "Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted." "Blessed are those who seek redemption, for redemption is the hardest trial a man can face."
