My favorite from May would probably be The House in the Cerulean Sdea, Funny Story, Happy Place, and my disappointments would have to be The Serpent and the Wings of Night and The Raven Boys. Happy reading!

I need to read The House in the Cerulean Sea! I also have had The Serpent and the Wings of Night on my mind tbr for so long but I truly don't think that I'll ever pick it up. I know it gets a lot of hype but I just don't feel like I'll like the story too much

I'm here for all the stats in the beginning because I enjoy it. 😍 I'm just nosy HAHA. If it's your favorite then I feel like I'll enjoy it because I just finished Part of Your World, 1/3 of the way into Yours Truly. I find the character development in her book to be 💯 Luckily I had it come through the library in order. I don't think it would have mattered in the overarching plot but I'm here trying to spy Daniel & Alexis in Yours Truly for sure. Lol, in 20's not knowing what I want for my life. That's so me right now 😭 I feel like I'll definitely enjoy it then since I'm probably the most lost I am in my life right now in terms of what I want to do for work. I agree -- Emily Henry books have this feeling of familiarity with my own life. Maybe that's why I enjoy it so much. I would say the romance (if it's just romance).... I wouldn't enjoy it as much 😅But her ability to connect w/ my life (and probably many others), really bumps her rating for me. Powerless is definitely on my TBR! Hopefully I'll be able to get around to it soon but I keep growing my TBR list 😂send help. Your Tomorrow & Tomorrow & Tomorrow tabs are 😍So gorgeous! Your description for T/T/T sounds so good. I think I'll definitely try it -- I'm super into video games, and development so I think I'll enjoy it for sure. My current favorite book for May is Front Desk. A middle grade book talking about a young Chinese immigrant's struggles, and I just felt so seen? related? to. The book somehow managed to capture the essence of being a young immigrant, and the expectations your family has on you while they're struggling to keep a roof on top of your head 😭Kind of an emotional read for me.

I get so excited for character cameos even if they only pop up for a paragraph or two! Just for the Summer definitely has the best cameos though in my opinion 😊 I think you'll like Funny Story! I really didn't start appreciating her writing until Happy Place and Funny Story so I kind of want to go back and reread her other books. She's now an author I'll pick up all future books for. I love when you can connect to books in very personal ways that specifically fit what you've gone through! It makes the reading journey so special 🥰
