In her first video, Hafsa creates a dried floral installation for Lemon Press, a local Nantucket eatery featuring organic health foods, juices, craft cocktails, and more. While our past two designers have done primarily wedding & events, we're excited to switch gears a bit with Hafsa and talk more about floral design within your community, and partnering with local businesses for a different approach to building & expanding your business.
Hafsa discusses the importance of creating an installation that fits the setting & thinks about its audience, and how choosing long-lasting (or forever lasting) products, like dried & preserved products, will create the most bang for everyone's buck. For the design, she starts by creating a "chicken wire burrito" as the structural base & form, and then attaches all of her product with zip ties.
Share with us your thoughts on Hafsa's video in the comments!
