Part 4 (of 5) of the Frey Mazda Collection videos is dedicated to Mazda Kei cars! I'd have to shrink to 2/3 my height to fit in one. Wish I could!
Cars featured:
1) Mazda R360 Coupé 1962: V2-engined sportscar
2) Mazda K360 1962: The V2 engine, 3-wheeler pick-up alternative to the above.
3) Mazda Carol 360 sedan 1962: featuring the smallest 4-cylinder water-cooled engine ever fitted to a production car. It beat Honda's best offer by 1 cc!
4) Mazdaspeed (Autozam) AZ1. Mazda's return to Kei-class cars, powered by a 3-cylinder, turbocharged Suzukli engine and featuring proper gullwing doors.
5) Mazda Porter Cab 1972 in the legendary Earth Green colour.
6) Mazda B360 1966. The Kei-class answer to the Toyota Crown wagon.
7) Mazda Chantéz 1972. It should have had a rotary engine. When the authorities refused to allow Mazda to install one, Toyo Kogyo left the Kei-car marked as an act of protest (until the AZ1, see above). In 1981 a Chantéz was fitted with a 13B rotary engine. Its top speed peaked at 240 km/h!
