*Hanom Cin* are the original Mon words, meaning *Boiled* (Cin, which does not mean China or Chinese) *Noodles* (Hanom). Khanom Jeen is the distorted version of Hanom Cin. Again, both Cin and Jeen in this context do not mean China or Chinese. Noodles did not exclusively root from China. The same goes for pasta from Italy. Fideos is Spanish noodles originated in Spain. Some historians even believe that the Arabs originally brought pasta to Italy during the Muslim conquest of Sicily. Thai and Mon people are genetically related. Before Siam, there was Dvaravati Kingdom, which was Mon civilization being older than Khmer civilization, that spanned much of Central Thailand. Even Thai kings were of Mon descent.
