A lot of people put dislikes on videos like this because they want the musician to put the notes so they can also play. You see that sort of thing a lot on Kalimba videos. There are lots of people who are out to exploit others and think people owe them a tutorial so that they can go and make money off of the work of others. Either that or they simply have different taste to you.
@parsonsmarcus
3 жыл бұрын
@@pgoddard803 You see, I can get behind having different tastes because of course, everyone tends to have different tastes in one thing or another. But to actively put a dislike on someone's video is to go out of your way to be rude. If you don't like it, you just move on. Much like how you could have just moved on from my comment, but instead, you chose to be negative. I hope you have a better day, week, and coming year.
@HeathWatts

Thanks, mbira master; I'm a British recently retired maths and English teacher, and I have an mbira myself (though, sadly, I can't really play it!) - a souvenir from when I taught in neighbouring Malawi in the '80's. This is such a magical, evocative sound. As for the rhythms, words, and melody, you've created a quiet masterpiece of songwriting! Long live the mbira, and the music it makes!

In Berberati, CAR, the music was amplified by resting the base of the mbira on a metal cooking pot turned upside down. I bought my mbira in the Berberati market, crafted by an elderly villager; I keep this as a precious reminder of my younger days. Love the music and the singing.
