I have only taken it once so far (from North Station to Union Square). It wss definitely on the slow side. Also, when you get out at Union Sq, it seems like you are walking forever just to get out to Prospect St.

I believe that they may have changed a few speed restrictions from the opening few days, but I’m not sure. When I filmed this, the speed seemed to have improved, but the stairs and elevator being closed doesn’t help with how far away the platform is. Also, the track crossovers are pretty far from the station, which does slow things down a bit.

I like it, I just think they should make some easy fixes, and that would make it massively more likable.

The new Union Square station doesn’t have any buses that stop directly there, but I wish there were some at nearby bus stops Prospect St @ Bennett Ct (with 2 routes) & Somerville Ave @ Stone Ave (with 4 routes).

It does look that way, but my bus driver friends have told me that they can use the bathroom there, but can’t take breaks there. There is limited seating for transit inspectors though.

Why they didn't install turnstiles is absolutely baffling. A rush job, if there ever was one...even if it did take 20 years lol

I'm pretty sure that they didn't make space for turnstiles. My understanding of what happened is they are working with a private company on machines that will allow people to tap on at any door, but that project got more delayed than the extension so they weren't ready, but they had already designed/built the stations without room for turnstiles. Either way, it's really confusing and a big waste of paper.
