He's got some more awesome stuff in the works that I know you will be interested in 2fmrc . Also what amazed me the most hes a Senior in high doing this .

@@V8chump I run my desert lizard shocks on my 1/10s this way. It’s like a forced droop setup. On the larger shocks you can still run a spring on each side of the piston so you have spring pulling down but also have one in the normal position to keep the truck from sitting completely bottomed out. This prevents it from hopping a lot when climbing inclines but also holds it down. With the larger shocks you have so much more adjustments that can be made so I’ve just never really did it with the smaller stuff. I’m liking it though!

That’s funny. I hate servo on chassis. I have a 1/10 gspeed that does fine with it but that’s the only crawler I own with it. I just don’t really care much what they look like if they perform. I kinda like a mix I guess honestly. I enjoy the look of this rig being a bit more scale looking but just want that performance most the time. Honestly the aftermarket is what makes any successful truck imo. You can do anything you want with the scx24 at this point because there is so much stuff available. Quality is 2nd because every other 1/24 I’ve ran has lacked pretty big on quality. So idk what to tell ya if those don’t convince ya lol. Maybe just get one cause all the cool kids have them 🤘

I like the idea, but the lack of pivot balls is puzzling. I find that sloppy links make for a less predictable suspension and can lead to shock binding. I designed the first 3D printed HC links in 2020 and have spent many hours experimenting. IMO, the best links are going to use a snap-in, metal pivot ball with no o-rings (they aren't needed in that case). The custom link makers (e.g. RC Steve 710, RC Addiction 19) use this setup. The CF and all-metal links aren't able to use snap-in pivot balls, so they have to use the problematic pivot balls and o-rings. The links featured in the video could use snap-in pivot balls. I really don't understand the choice to omit them.
@2fmrc
2 жыл бұрын
All of mine with the snap ins (rcaddiction) pop out anyway so I don’t ever pay any attention to them honestly lol. These are actually pretty tight for not having the balls but I get what you mean. No way I would want that slop on a 1/10 😆 It’s kinda one of those things (good tunable shocks another) that I just figure I’m not gonna have for the 1/24s lol

The new 24's are a step backwards. To heavy and putting electrocrap features in it sucks. That's the same way Axial ruined the SCX10. Trying to compete with a company they had already beaten turned their stuff into trash Ill wait for a 24 scale Ecto. And Ill stick with my old ones.
@2fmrc
2 жыл бұрын
Hmmm we love the bronco so not sure how it’s going backwards. Is it as capable out of the box? No. But it is a hard body so not buying it to be a hardcore crawling machine. I haven’t had a single issue with the new electronics in it or my gladiator so not sure what everyone’s prob is with that either. The esc is wayyyy smoother than any other rtr offered. If this is going backwards I hope they hit full throttle in reverse lol. Now their stuff could definitely be better but it’s basically the same exact Scx24 but they at least tried to improve it with the electronics and looks. Not everyone’s choice to have a hard body and really not even one I would’ve thought I’d love but it don’t hurt to have options. Good luck with the 24 Ecto. Element just wanted to slap their name on someone else’s work on the 1/24s and get a quick cash grab (enduro24). Maybe if they’d actually go create their own 1/24 they’d have some success in the smaller scales. Just have to wait and see if they really want to last or fade out slowly.

@@2fmrc when crawling, top heavy equals garbage. Don't want flashing lights, or the controller to make em do it. Just retarded. I hate the new bronco, I own a 68 and a 71. Either of wich will run circles around the new one easily. So basically everything about this is wrong for me. Heavier, more stuff to go wrong, just a hardcore no. Have fun
@2fmrc

@@brianellison3525 yeah normally I don’t like the weight up high but every other rig I own is more setup for performance so it’s nice to have some scale looks now and then. It actually does really well with the mods I did to it. Will hang with most peoples normal modded rigs. It can’t compare to a good set up comp style rig but it’s really not supposed to. I have a hard body gspeed 1/10 that’ll out crawl anyone I’ve ran with in most situations so a lot of it is about setup. All a matter of what style rig you want in the end really. Nice to have something different for me!

Mine was 303 grams out of the box yesterday. It's 405 now. 102 grams all below the links and without the spare and scale accessories and it is planted. I love it. It creeps forward and backwards. The esc has a built in light controller like the Gladiator. It looks best. If this is a step backwards I hope they take two steps backwards next.
