One side is the main board for burgers only, that side makes the Whopper, Bacon Kings, burgers, and such. The other side is the specialty board which makes the chicken sandwiches, fishes, drops things in the fryers, etc. I notice McDonald's also has two sides, but it looks as though the two sides are both making the same thing, both are making burgers and chicken.

Honestly I wish working in the food industry paid better because I enjoyed doing it. (I was a back line cook for Arby's back in the mid-90s) I had so much fun doing it and loved the repeativeness of it. But I can't support a wife and two kids on the meager pay food workers get so instead I work a job I don't enjoy and have to force myself to go to every day because I make $26/hour doing it.

Does anyone know what the colored rectangular buttons do? I know it'll never happen, but I'd love to get a tour of a McD's to see how everything works.

I work at McDonalds, usually in the position shown in the video. The screen has a list of sandwiches/nuggets required for each order, with each order in a different “box”. The “serve” button clears a box after all items in the order are prepared. The “recall” button shows the most recently served order. The red buttons turn that side of the table’s monitor on or off, as sometimes we only have enough staff to operate half of the table

How do you guys add extra onions on cheeseburgers and double cheeseburgers, if the patty is already cooked with some onions, how do you add extra? From the gray that have fallen off?

I never understood why McDonalds here in Brazil is so much better than in the United States
