Hello again from Oregon. phenomenal work as always Glenn. I noticed you used pocket holes on the bathroom sink wall. What size of jig? the 2x4 or the cabinet size? I was seriously seeing if it could be done to OSB. I am at a standstill erecting the walls. I had to jeep the original metal panels in the roof. I was thinking about two different ways. One was attach wood to the ceiling panels nearest the edge of the panel where its bolted to the roof structure. Then attach OSB using pocket holes Or using 2x2 in a typical wall frame, then attach the osb to the wall frame. LOVE THE FLOORING PANELS THO.. I did an experiment and smoothed over the OSB panel with mortar mix ina REALLY thin layer. the moisture made the fiber chunks swell a little bit. glad I used a remnant piece from the side walls.

I used the Kraig pocket holes on the 3/4" OSB. I put the holes about every 4-5 inches. They are not super strong alone, but if you put enough of them, they collectively provide plenty of strength. I didn't use the Kraig screws though, instead I used regular wood screws (the drywall type). The bathroom sink wall consists of (2) 3/4" OSB panels with 2 1/2" space. That's where the pocket door goes (the same as the other wall between the bathroom and kitchen). By the time I pocket holed both sides, they aren't going anywhere. I suppose I could have installed wood to the frame like you mentioned and achieved the same result. I like the idea of being able to mount the wall panels anywhere I want without concerning myself with bolting wood to the ceiling first. Either way works though! You're right about the mortar mix revealing the loose wood strands. On the shower wall next to the closet where there isn't a pocket door, there is only the single 3/4" panel, so that is pocket holed with no other support. Once I fastened the closet wall to it and other stuff, it really stiffens it up. All the cabinet walls (ends) are 3/4" plywood which are also pocket holed. I'm glad you like the flooring panels on the walls. One thing about it, once it's installed, no extra finishing is needed. I just about finished the bathroom tonight. Now I need to start thinking about the ceiling so that I can install the bath fan and lights. It never ends. What part of Oregon are you in?
