I was with Kilo co. Plt. 3225, graduated last year lol. I also knew your Senior DI but at a brother platoon as a kill hat, he was terrifying as hell from what I’ve heard. Anyways devil try to stay motivated as much as you can throughout your career. Avoid getting complacent and ALWAYS protect what you’ve earned!

This was a very motivating video. Even though I already served (0311) this video sent chills. Big challenges are coming, the road is not going to an easy one, we need GOD now more than ever. This is just the beginning, but WELCOME to the (FMF) FLEET MARINE FORCE brother. I wish you all the best and SEMPER FIDELIS!!!

USMC Nov 1983, 3089. Now retired, I work with moms many worries with their son in the FMF. Within the last month, a mom went to see her son, in HI, about 5 years after graduation. She told me she had a basic idea of his improved leadership skills, but could not believe how she was off to the side watching him take total charge of a company formation. She told me she was in total shock how he was so gentle with "his mom", then could turn it up in the formation. The same "momma's boy" clearly had 2 gears to play with at his discretion.

The Ripper from my experience is not bad at all but the weather conditions sucked. It was raining, muddy boots and everyone was shivering our drill instructor were just trynna go back and relax. Bootcamp is just a flash to me remember stuff here and there.

3:39 I see civilian glasses, m16s with no mags, 2 straps tightly connected to either end of weapon making it inoperable to use as well as holding said weapon incorrectly, sunflower hats as opposed to helmets, backpacks weight like 5 lbs lol as opposed to 90 lbs rucksack, no kevlar and no additional mags. What is this a gay fun run? Go army, where we actually do stuff

What you saw are NOT civilian glasses (Portholes), 2 straps connected to each end of the weapon (operable to use), Boonie Covers traditionally used in the field, and packs that weigh roughly 45-60 Ibs. These marines, at the time in the photo, have gotten through roughly 4.6 up a steep hill. All while being sore from the 54-Hour Evaluation that includes, Multiple Courses, 3-4 hours of sleep a night, and minimal MREs. Easiest part of their entire career.
