Hey North, i have a question. So im trying to make a deep ocean biome or say a deep ocean cavern but idk how to do that in the biome thing. Or should i make a dimension and make the biomes there with the custom entitys?

It depends which version your working on for biome generation Pre 1.18 generation custom dimension did have support for oceans, but 1.18 and up now just clones the base height map from the overworld or other base dimensions eg nether or end. So if you use the execute in you will notice that the terrain is the exact same is the other biome. However continentalness controls the how inland or how far out at sea something is in 1.18. So you could make your own biome and set the value between something like min -1.0 and max -0.9 you may need to play around with the exact values. Minecraft overworld uses values between -1.0 to 1.0 though custom dimensions support between -2.0 to 2.0.

There is nearest entity blocks under the world procedures/data section, this does what you need and will work in any procedure that supports world and position dependencies. Make sure to test if the entity exists first and make sure the values are the same or the game can crash. I hope this helps.

Hello, I'm making a mod about structures, I'm just starting out and now I'm having problems with underground structures. I watched videos of old versions of mcreator and comparing to the current version, the current version has fewer options. I would be grateful if in the future you make a video on how to make underground structures/dungeons. P.S. Sorry for my wording, I'm using a translator.

No problem 😊 Most cases things like trees, boulders and such are all features now, this is the same system used before one of the more recent updates in MCreator. Though structures do have support for spawning underground, I am not fully sure how it would work with the structure element at this very time. I will be covering feature generation for surface structures like trees next week though. However I understand that your looking for underground structures so I will make sure to make a note to remind me to work on this a a later date. I would need to put a workspace together and test things before the tutorial. I also will be continuing the Forge Energy/Fluid series a bit more starting two weeks from now. This will last a few weeks. But after I plan to do a few more community suggestions so I will fit this in then.

I will be recording a tutorial guide next week for features that generate structures on the surface, same method I am using to generate the trees in the Piruff forest biome. It will be released in a couple weeks.
