The Clearwater dress and your first running skirt ALMOST make me want to sew active wear. Also I must add the patterns are really reasonably priced. Great makes.

I’ve been really impressed with the pricing too. Especially the Jalie patterns, considering how impressive the size range is. I’ll definitely buy more sport-specific ones from them later if Brady gets involved in something. It’ll be so easy to just size up using the same pattern as she grows.

This was really informative and I love the things you made. I am also working on my active weare clothes at the moment and it is quite challenging.

Thank you Katinka! There are definitely some different techniques with active wear and I’m really glad that the first few patterns I made explained things thoroughly. The biggest thing I found that helps while actually sewing the garments is to keep my needles fresh. Best of luck making some awesome active wear!

Hi Erin! You’ve made quite an impressive group of activewear garments! You made a lot of pieces in quick succession and were able to make very thoughtful comparisons between the different patterns. I appreciate all of your tips! The extent of my activewear sewing experience is making leggings (for lounging around in - kinda the exact opposite of “active”wear 😂). I would like to make simple sports bras for everyday wear.

Hi Michelle! Making all of these so close together definitely helped me retain more of the lessons learned and compare them all. Lounging leggings are important too 😂 you could definitely whip up some simple sports bras. A soft jersey blend would be great for that.

I have not sewn active wear. I guess you have to be active to wear it! 😜😆

For some reason, I retain sewing techniques/information so much better when I know *why* I am doing the steps I am doing. You probably will do those steps now without question

Sorry, but I got published early for some reason. You clearly learned so much about activewear, and you've made some very lovely and useful garments. Congratulations on so many successful activewear pieces!!

I’m the same way- knowing the “why” really helps things click and cement in my brain. Thank you for the congrats! I’ve learned a lot for sure, and I’m excited to learn more techniques (e.g. flat locking). Like the mega t-shirt video, these are all super practical pieces in my closet and I wear them a ton
