The new voicework is relaxing and better than the others. I was pleased to learn about the post-trimming after care and trimming methods of HC Cuba.

I was just looking at my new thick HC carpet the other day and was dismayed to see it pulled up from the substrate, I had no idea it was because of length, I assumed it was my substrate being slightly too large for it to grab on to but I realize now it was well rooted until it overgrew. Great video as always and thank you!

Official WASABI Moderator: Thanks Chris, please use the new ADA Amazonia II aqua soil as it has a finer grain size compared to the original Amazonia. Otherwise, you may use Amazonia Powder Type on the surface of your existing substrate and replant the HC Cuba.

Thanks for the tips, That's why my HC Cuba was start to be yellow. My HC Cuba is growing better on ADA Amazonia II than the Amazonia Light and no co2. Great video 👌

Official WASABI Moderator: We've had success on both Amazonia II and Light. It all comes down to lighting, fertilization and CO2 :) Glad to see your HC Cuba growing well, it's a very nice pearling plant.

Excellent video. Would it be safe to assume that the same rules apply to maintaining Micranthemum Monte Carlo? Also, is there any advice you could give me/others on what to do if it looks like a lot of the carpet is growing under the substrate? Thanks again for a great video!
@NORIaquaCh

Official WASABI Moderator: This also applies to Monte Carlo :) Some growth of the carpet under the substrate is normal, if it's too thick, please trim it just like this video.

That should be fine, but you will find it troublesome if you leave it on the metal! - Official WASABI Aquarium Channel Moderator

How to choose the number of fish for your aquascape?
@NORIaquaCh
3 жыл бұрын
Official WASABI Moderator: Hi wisemandenny8, it depends on the size of your tank, actual water volume, and also the size of the fish. Typically 1cm fish per 1L of water.

@@NORIaquaCh thank you for the reply! Does this ratio still hold for nano tanks? I have a 65L tank and even 20 small tetras or pygmy corydoras seems like way too many.
@NORIaquaCh
3 жыл бұрын
@@wisemandenny8 Official WASABI Moderator: If you factor in hardscape water displacement, it would be almost half, so for a 65L tank, 10 to 20 small tetras should be okay. It all boils down to your filtration :)

Please google “Aquavitro foreground shears” And let me know what you think about them. They are a unique style not offered by any other manufacturer. Do you think the sty would be better for trimming carpets? Or is the traditional double curved better. Any positives and negatives you could think of about these I would appreciate! I wonder why no one else makes these and they are not at all a popular style
