I don't know why people don't cook with pork and turkey more often. I make Pork bugers. You can do the same with pork as you can beef.I even made hambuger helper with ground pork. You couldn't tell the difference. 🙂 The other white meat is so much better for you then Red meats. Plus some people are getting allrergic to Beef now from those tick bites. I am. I can't do beef anymore it makes me sick. I get pot stickers sometimes. Never thought of making soups from them. Everything looked good. ☺️❤️ I never would of thought of eggs with rice. That actually sounds good. I may have to try that one. I was so happy when I seen frozen mushrooms. Our walmart carries them. 🙂

I think it's because of the negativity surrounding it from Muslims, Jews, etc., thousands of years. It seeps into mainstream. It's a great, flavorful meat (sausage, bacon, pork belly, etc.). That's why Asian peeps love it. We love flavor and fat. LOL
@taridaisabella7732
4 жыл бұрын
Probably late comment but let me just add few comments. Because pork is considered unclean, non halal food for muslims and jews. Speaking from my experience being Indonesian and live in muslim majority country, it is quite a job to find pork here, as it is not freely sold in supermarket, only few of them sold in supermarket here. You’ll most likely find them from bataknese butcher, as my ethnicity is bataknese and christians, because we consumed pork here besides manadonese, christians and other non muslim religions.

I've tried the egg and rice recipe and it's a game-changer. I'm used to having cheese rice or cheese grits with my breakfast since both my parents grew up in country towns in Mississippi, but the eggs turned out so much better than I thought. I kept the rice plain since I wasn't sure how cheese would go with it. Might try it out, but as is it was great!

I loved all the Asian recipes you showcased in this video, Dzung! I think I have all the ingredients or can sub similar items for the the first recipe. The 2nd one, well, I still have yet to venture out to get more eggs. But I do love me some eggs and I really liked how you made it. Finally, anything Thai has got to be good. Unfortunately, I used up my last bit of red curry for a Laotian dish so I'll need to go get more. But yummikins! BTW, I'm planting lemongrass this year. I did it last year and enjoyed it so I'm giving it another go along with basil and hot peppers.

By cooking the ramen straight in the broth, did it add that flour like flavor to the soup? I used a different type of ramen also produced by Sun and it has that flour taste to it, so I separately cook it first before adding it with soup.

Why in America you don't just boil water and cook pasta in there. It takes the same time (10 minutes more or less) , but the flavour will be amazing . Also puttanesca doesn't need that much tomato sauce, you could even substitute it with cherry tomatoes and not parsley but origano and not parmesan (unless you like, but that's a bit weird in puttanesca eheh) :) Despite the pasta, I love the other recipes and I will definitely try it^^

White cheddar is the best! I cannot believe 1/2 lb feeds 2 1/2 people. You guys must not eat very much. LOL! I sort of have a problem with the fact the meat patty is small compared to the bun. The meat should always be the size of the bun or slightly more. But that could be where you're at 1/2 lb for 2 1/2 people and I'm at 1/2 lb for one person. Hahaha!
