Glad you are liking the app. We will do more for refrigeration for sure in the future. We did a lot of work on the probes to improve the user experience. Glad it is appreciated. Thanks Jim Bergmann

I second that on saving the butts. I literally left feedback on their site that they needed to fire whoever they had working on it and get a new company. Kind of remind me of Obamacare website. It was never tested tried-and-true before they released it. Very amateur.

Great video as always Dave! I just updated the app. and plan on trying MQ with the FP probes. It has to be better than what J-Link has been. I have a lot of w.i.c and freezers that don't have suction ports at the txv and the probes really shine in that scenario.

Good video Dave, thanks. I’m happy that your Fieldpiece equipment is getting dialed in, Burgmann will be happy too that his app is making our lives easier. Personally I’m still in love with my iManifold and I love their app, but maybe I’ll give MeasureQuick a try too. It was 106F yesterday in Western Canada where I live, maybe I should give up refrigeration and just focus on HVAC...😂❄️💲

Square D QO panel? that was a space saver/double 30 amp 120V breaker. hehe make sure there's no loose wires at the breaker also, many times people don't tighten the screw/lugs good and they burn at the breaker :) when they heat up from being loose, they'll start nuisance/random tripping, the breaker will usually feel and be real hot with wire cooked inside panel. just something else to think about and check while servicing. I didn't catch if you checked the voltage at compressor with it running, low voltage will cause amp draw to be high. I don't think you'd miss something like that though. watching in a hurry cause I have to bolt shortly ;)

When a Comp is only slightly week it is hard to identify. It is nice to have a tool that can give a second opinion when you might be in doubt. I have changed several Comp that did not fully pull down to temp but all the test checked out very close to normal and when I changed the Comp I always had in the back of my mind that it could be an expensive mistake. I think MeasureQuick is a good second opinion for these calls.

@hvacrjunky6119

toolman Thanks for the reply but I was referring to slightly leaking valves. In these situations everything seems to run fine except for the fact that it doesn’t pull down as fast. Amp draw might be slightly off but not by much in some of these situations. Suction might be slightly higher and discharged might be slightly lower but it is hard to tell the difference when the valves are barely leaking by.
@toolman9081

Good Vid. yea, compressors on its way out. they got thier 10 years. it must have been cold out there, 96 condensing? = 66 degree ambient ?. right now. 90 most days down here min. 70-75 at night. MQ Saves Fieldpieces ass. Fieldpieces Probes Look Well Built, Cosmetically appealing, etc. , it's a Bummer Fieldpieces App Developer sucks ! / Has not Got a Clue. Maybe this will Give them some time so thier app developer can work on improving thier app / Back to the Drawing Board.
