If all this doesn't make the Bar Lock work correctly, make yourself a washer that fits behind the Bar Lock spring. You will probably have to put a washer on a file and slide it back and forth until it is thin enough. I did mine on a belt sander but it would be easy to have it fly off and lose it. I held it with a piece of wood and turned the sander on and off in seconds because you can't grab it when the sander is moving. this keeps the Bar Lock from tipping sideways.

I have an old me 76 grabber and the charge bar will not lock back because for some reason the bar lock will not function and I think it is because the little spring on that is in the wrong place or broken, any suggestions?

Hi Wyatt, Thanks for commenting! If the charge bar does not lock up properly when the shells clear the first two stations, follow these instructions; -Make sure that the charge bar is completely traveling to the left. The small screw in the front of the bar should contact the left side of the chrome measure assembly when the press hits bottom. -The top side of the trip rod #670F should be flush with the top side of the drop tube bracket #670C when the press is in the down position with no shells in the reloader. If the trip rod is above the bracket, bend down on the trip rod bracket #670E slightly until the top of the trip rod is flush with the drop tube bracket. The trip rod bracket is half way down the trip rod. The bar lock spring #670B should also be checked to ensure that it is not weak. Please email info@mecoutdoors.com and we can send you a picture diagram of this. Thank you.

@@MECOutdoors thanks for the tip I think my bar lock spring is weak because my trip rod has never really gone flush and has always functioned fine. If having a weak bar lock spring is my problem where could I get a new one and how do I replace it?

As the price of components (especially powder and shot) continues to rise, the financial benefits of reloading shotgun shells becomes ever thinner. I get my hulls for free by picking them off the ground at my local club. I buy my powder, shot, primers and wads through my club at basically cost. Given all that, it is still costing me around $7-$7.50 per box to load. I can buy a flat of Gun Clubs through my club for $90. So I'm saving maybe $1.50, $2.00 max per box.

Hi Ron, Thanks for commenting! We have not found a good solution for cleaning the bottles with the lead residue and the chemicals in the powder. It is best to replace the bottles once you are unable to see the shot and powder inside. If we can be of any further assistance please contact us at 1-800-797-4632 Mon-Fri 8am-4pm Central time or email reloadersales@mecoutdoors.com.
