The Wurlitzer is running through an envelope follower low-pass filter, followed by a distortion box. Any brands will do it. I used to have a Electro-Harmonix Doctor Q and MXR DistortionPlus that I used with my Model 200. Or my flute, for a really sick sound... If you put the distortion before the filter, it sounds more like a synthesizer.

@Deltarogers The Wurlitzer actually has an awesome feel to it since it uses hammers on steel reeds to produce the sound which tends to be warmer than Rhodes. Cheers :)

Everything Andy Doubletrouble said. You might also want to look into getting over-wound pickups for a nice hot signal, raise your action and thump the hell out of the strings. I'm pretty sure this isn't what Chris Wood uses, but strings-wise I got really good results with Di'adarrio (spelling?) nylon tapewounds. Now go forth and groove!
