I'm 72, and tomorrow I will be carnivore 2 weeks. I'm starting to notice improvementsin so many areas. I have more stamina, I was very inactive for at least a year because of chronic pain, and undiagnosed immune disorder. I had a bunio repaired about 5 weeks ago, and it's healing great. I am able to do grocery shopping again, keep jmup with things around the house more easily. My mood had brightened considerably, I'm sleeping again after sever years of chronic insomnia, sometimes not sleeping at all. I'm so thankful I found out about carnivore. I can hardly believe I haven't had any carbs for 13 days. I was cutting things for a while trying to work up to keto. Our daughter lost 100 pounds on keto in a year which inspired me. I went from camping and hiking, and going for long 35 mile bike rides with my husband in Colorado to slowly having to give all those things up. I eventually had to quit working and go on disability. To see that in the future I can do some of those things again gives me great joy. I couldn't have gone through an illness like this without God. When I couldn't do anything else I dug deep into the bible and found great help there. Carnivore is my plan forever.

I actually think we don't know how old people were when they died before agriculture. The tables of comparison are all based on post-agricultural populations (because those are the individuals whose age at death can be ascertained by paperwork), so we use them as "the norm." But those are ABNORMAL individuals, in the grand scheme of things, because agriculture itself is so new. What I'm saying is, we may find a skeleton from 200,000 years ago and scientists will say "well, look at the growth plates, the wear on the teeth, the wear on the joints, etc., clearly this person was 70 when they died." But those markers may all be wildly off when it comes to humans who were properly nourished. That person might have been 80, 90, 100, 110, 120. We just don't know, because our standards are so skewed. We know people were taller, their teeth were stronger, they were more robust in general. So does it really make any sense that we expect them to show their age in the exact same way as us small, sickly post-agricultural specimens?

Once you get in ketosis she don't really have an urge to overeat that much anyways. You kind of just learned to listen to your body. I'd say airing on the side of discipline would be a better approach cuz I'd say I'm not in maintenance I still got a spare tire. Seems like I do better when I start swapping some of the meat out for fats because holding onto a little fat can still keep your background insulin up. Recently they conducted a study comparing intermittent fasting to calorie deficit to determine whether the benefit of intermittent fasting comes from calorie restriction since most people are unable to consume as many calories in a shorter period of time. The results were that there was no difference in benefits thus according to that study you can get the same benefits simply by consuming less calories.

If you are going to fry something, always use lard pig's fat or tallow steer's fat, animal fats. Throughout the ancient world olive oil was never used for frying for it is too expensive so they use pigs lard fat or steers tallow fat. Olive oil is only used for salad dressings and to soak one's bread into. Archeologists knew these things a long time ago but never noticed that this particular piece of information was NEVER printed in your ancient history books! Olive oil is only used for frying by the nobles and by the rich and very rich and by the kings and emperors and people of royalty which is very bad for their health.

Heaven forbid that Big Food be successful at converting many humans to plant-based diets with soybeans as protein. Surely the human flatulence will more than make up for the slightly reduced cattle flatulence. The absurdity that people should eat plant-based diets is killing people far earlier then their genetic potential would allow them to live. Vacationing as a Carnivore, especially if traveling with children can be challenging, given the natural tendency for humans to find tropical locations attractive for rest and relaxation - locations which also of course have a great deal of fruit in abundance. Even at non tropical vacation destinations, something as seemingly innocuous as a complimentary fruit basked in a hotel room intended to welcome a family could potentially spell trouble if parents don't either secure the basket in the hotel room safe or return it to the concierge or the front desk, politely explaining that this is something verboten within their family unit. Places such as Napa Valley and Sonoma Valley of course shouldn't even be considered by a responsible Carnivore, out of respect to his or her temple. From a couple of fruitarians named "Mr. and Mrs. Tarbath" (a surname somewhat evocative of a type of psoriasis treatment) the top three destinations for fruitarians are: Cairns, Queens, (New Zealand), Penang (Malaysia), and Chiang Mai (Thailand). Can you imagine how torturous it would be to spend so much as a minute in any of these places, surrounded by savage vegan/fruitarians and gnats and fruit flies probably buzzing around everywhere? The horror. The horror. For a truly rewarding Ketovian vacation, perhaps South America's the place you oughta be - Argentina that is, "charred gold" the perfect T (bone) and Carnivore Hospitality. Y'all come back now, you hear?

Results published in 2012 from two major Harvard University studies-the Nurses’ Health Study, which followed the diets of about 120,000 30- to 55-year-old women starting in 1976, and the Health Professionals Follow-Up Study, which followed about 50,000 men aged 40 to 75-found that the consumption of both processed and unprocessed red meat appeared to be associated with an increased risk of dying from cancer and heart disease, as well as shortened life spans overall-a conclusion reached even after controlling for age, weight, alcohol consumption, exercise, smoking, family history, caloric intake, and even the intake of whole plant foods, such as whole grains, fruits, and vegetables. The findings suggest there may be something harmful in the meat itself. The largest study of diet and health was co-sponsored by the National Institutes of Health and the American Association of Retired Persons. Over a decade, researchers followed about 545,000 men and women aged 50 to 71 and came to the same conclusion as the Harvard researchers: Meat consumption was associated with increased risk of dying from cancer, dying from heart disease, and dying prematurely in general. Again, this was after controlling for other diet and lifestyle factors. Alzheimer’s disease risk may also be affected by meat consumption. In Japan, the prevalence of Alzheimer’s has shot up over the past few decades, thought to be due to the shift from a traditional rice-and-vegetable-based diet to one featuring triple the dairy and six times the meat. The lowest validated rates of Alzheimer’s disease in the world are found in rural India, where people tend to eat plant-based diets centered on grains and vegetables. In the United States, those who don’t eat meat (including poultry and fish) appear to cut their risk of developing dementia in half, and the longer meat is avoided, the lower dementia risk appears to fall.

@@jchula I'd direct you to Dr Philip Ovadia, a heart surgeon who has set up a clinic to help people restore their metabolic health because that is the key factor. We've eaten meat for millenia, and our ancestors ate it for millions of years. Why is it only since the push for 'low fat/high carb' diets have we seen a massive increase in cancer, heart disease, diabetes, alzheimers? Humans cannot digest cellulose. Cellulose is how plant eaters gain nutrition. That's what builds their often large and powerful bodies. Nothing to do with sugars or starches which are only good for building fat reserves. It's the microorganisms in their digestive systems fermenting the plant matter, specifically cellulose, into fatty acids that the animal can utilise for muscle growth. Humans aren't capable of digestion via fermentation. Our digestive systems are inhospitable to microorganisms. We digest using enzymes. No mammal in existence can digest cellulose using enzymes. That's basic biology. We are not herbivores.

Not because french fries and donuts are unhealthy. Because some people have been so much fucked up by grains , legumes, seeds/nuts , refine sugar and oils that is a great way to heal our gut, after that we can , if we feel the need , to take back in some less harmful plants.

Extremes in diet are unhealthy. At one extreme you have the raw food vegans. At the other extreme, you have the carnivores like Joey Shwartz who only eat animal products. Both these extremes are like religions. But the conclusions of scientific studies about diet are also unreliable due to confounding factors that confuse causality with correlation. Correlation does not imply causation. It is the health outcomes of people living in the Blue Zones that are the reliable indicators of the optimal way of eating. The Blue Zones are not about scientific studies that attempt to cull the relevant data from a confusing set of data points. They are also not about a religious fervor that is more faith-based than logic-based. The Blue Zone populations are the healthiest and longest-living populations. They eat unprocessed and mostly plant-based foods with moderate amounts of non-factory-raised meat, dairy, and eggs. The truth is staring us in the face.

The so called "blue zone' diets have been widely refuted. The researchers who performed these 'studies' cherry picked their data and only reported what people wanted to hear. It's not extreme or unnatural for a creature (like us) to eat just one thing. In fact, it's very common. Koalas only eat eucalyptus, pandas only eat bamboo, cows only eat grass, seals only eat fish, whales only eat krill, cheetahs only eat meat. No one would think of telling any of them to "eat a more balanced diet." They eat what they are designed to eat, and they thrive on it. When they eat what they are not designed to eat, they don't thrive. A lot of humans are not thriving.

I bought an indoor grill and a foreman grill .. I bought mass chicken breasts green veggies talapia salmon roughy cod.. I dumped fast food sodas sugar and processed bullshit food I started walking early in mornings which is great for feeling better reducing arthritic pain . I dropped 15lbs fast.. continued the process I came across carnivore diet and said yes I'll do it.. Cutting baked potatoes butter and steak was difficult 😭but I cut the potatoes starchy carbs Now I was down 25lbs To date I'm down 37lbs and it's bcuz I learned how to eat correctly.. now I cringe when my family friends whoever ask me to go out for lunch dinner at olive garden 😀 They literally spend 125.00 on appetizers dinner desserts 😭 drinks man I will never go back to what I call mainstream Americas lifestyle of eating out in excess .. no way!
