I got accepted into an LPN program and I am extremely introverted and have some social anxiety. I want to care for ppl but I don’t like the idea of constant patient interaction. I love science. It was always my favorite subject. I am strongly considering this career choice

Hi! Care to update on how you’re doing in the Lpn program? I’m just like you haha, very introverted and I definitely don’t want to do direct patient care either😆

I’m also introverted and I just passed the nclex pn and currently working in a snf facility. I’m greatly considering transitioning into MLS.

thank you, I love it, I'm definitely considering this one. I don't like direct patient contact (I quit nursing school) but I love anatomy, physiology and science. So it sounds pretty good.

I have short term memory problems, yet I managed somehow to get a bachelor's in biology. I need a job that is repetitive in nature because of my short term memory issue. Is this job super repetitive?

There is an element of repetition. More importantly, the job can involve moments of intense urgency and pressure.

Hello Amanda, The video was a great and I learned a lot from you. Thank you for that! I am interested in the MLS program 12 month track through the hospital. I got accepted into the program. How intense was your program? How much work did you have to put everyday in order to pass it?

Start by googling medical lab scientist jobs in the state you want to move to. Also google this phrase “how to transfer your ascp certification to another country” and click on the first link from the ascp website

Go to a medical technology school in the US. Without the school and practicum on the bench, you will have much difficulty performing the job, even with a science degree.

Some programs do give a stipend but most don’t. I know the one I applied to won’t so loans are an option or a weekend job to help with expenses. Life is tough but doable. 😅
