I'm curious how Mongolian history is taught in Mongolia, someone from Mongolia can answer
@fybrogen7473
Ай бұрын
It is taught starting from the start of Hunnu Guren (xiongnu) to Khitans and then to Mongols. The invasions done by Mongols were brutal but not to this extent where they killed 2million people. Lots of sources debate on how many died in Persia and Iraq but these high numbers are taken from wikipedia, a website where me or you could just go and edit without credible source.

Whenever a muslim is defeated in battle, the outcome is "a genocide of millions occured". Mongols enslaved the city, yes, looted yes, but 2 million deaths are literally impossible in 3 days. The city was functioning smoothly shortly after, becoming a trading hub of mongol empire. How people appeared days later? The sources that mention this number are muslim, though the Mongol general himself says 200k enemy soldiers and civilians. For an unknown reason, i believe him.
