An extra note on talking reputation, every body is different. My wife did not like the beautiful eyes compliment, but really liked it when I told her she was strong like a boar. It seemed like everybody liked it when I told them I was starting to hunt and had advice to give, but not Unigost. He thought such things were completely beneath him and did not want to get his hands dirty doing such menial labors, -5 approval. What a loser he is, but my babe chops down trees all day without breaking a sweat, man I love that woman. :)

@@djh345 Berry's you typically pick up 3 at a time so you can get a lot more during the same amount of time it takes to get the herbs. In 1 berry patch you can easily get 200

It's been patched so now herbs and berries are worth way less money. When I first started playing a few months ago, each berry was worth 1 gold and I could make ludicrous money. Now they are worth 0.1 gold, and the berries are heavy. Herbs are now worth 0.3 gold. It's way quicker to just pick up stones and rocks on your way to the village and when you get overburdened, just stop and craft stone knives since their base price is 30 (same as the ax) and they only weigh 0.5 (1.5 less than the axe.)

Quick warning: "Unstuck" no longer respawns to a specific location unfortunately. It will simply place you a meter or 2 from where you hit the option now. I think they removed the teleportation since the April update. So please bare that in mind before building in a terrible location 😅

QUICK MONEY - BERRIES, unripe and ripe berries sell for 1 coin each, you can hold 300 to 400 per trip. also buy cabbage seeds in Branica, cabbage can be planted in spring then harvested in summer, planted in summer then harvested in fall. with cabbage make and sell potage. (you only need 3-4 potage per season to survive) the rest sold for profit.

another tip for new players - DO NOT EXPAND TOO FAST. you will want to recruit 6 people BEFORE you finish building 10 buildings. 4 houses, food & resource strorage, wood shed, hunting lodge, barn, workshop. hold Left ALT, near recruitable people to see their skills. focus on recruiting 4 people with high (4+) excavation, and 2 with high (4+) hunting.

This is definitely a game that requires at LEAST a single restart to get it right. The first time in is going to be a pure learning experience, the second time will be tuning those experiences into something functional, and the inevitable third playthrough will be when you really do like you promised yourself last time and start with stone houses, seriously this time. Here's a tip I recommend: don't go crazy building on the first day. Pick your location (I like the lake south of the starting town), slap a single house down (and a storage building if you've unlocked it on the way), and then start questing. The rewards are valuable and you can resell everything for massive profit, even (especially) the high-end food. Just hunt on your way between quest locations and slap a campfire down when you need to cook and eat. Now for the important tip, the real juicy bit: there are bandit camps scattered around the map near forest roads that contain high-end loot to $ell or use. Spend the first night or second day literally exploring the map and picking up everything you can to sell at the nearest town. I got a few bows, some winter gear, backpacks (CRUCIAL), and most importantly: about $4k by day 3.

If I might... some extra tips and updates to your tips valid since a day or two since there have been some big patches. first 3 tips, basically still very much count. As for tip 2 I would like to note that when you start straw is very important. However straw can only be found at the banks of the main river. Before you head out to pick your spot, bring enough straw (collect reeds at the river) I sggest a minimum of 150. The crafting wheel has been extended with more items, you can now actually make your first pickaxe (you will need it at a certain point) Hunting: unless you play a customized game with lowered animal health, 3 spears most likely won't do it for the Wisent anymore (not the wooden spears anyway), they are alo possibly aggressive. Wolves have become stronger too and might hunt in packs. A howling wolf can attract other wolves. And watch out for boars... boars are naasty. Tip 5, the unstuck button. it does NOT work like that anymore. using the unstuck button now teleports you a few feet, the "unstuck location" is no more. tip 6 making money. the economy has changed over time. Check the prices in your inventory to get an idea what is the best to craft. tip 7: tbh, the reputation system is not really important YET, it is important with those you want to recruit and those you want to woo, for the rest it is important for one main quest. however in the overall game progress it doesn't do much. some additions from me: tip 8; Questing: Do the side quests, they provide reputation, money, items and something to do (especially nice if you have set more days in the customize option when starting a new game). Since they are spread over several towns it also gives you a reason to explore and get to know the map. tip 9: Keep track of the seasons: Each season has it's own resources, fresh resources spoil over time. Besides that it comes into play with what you have to wear. In summer you want your starting clothes or similar, in winter however those clothes will kill you and you will need warmer ones. As an extra tip... rocks are extremely easy to find in winter, in other seasons they tend to be harder to spot, make winter rock collection season untill you go mining. tip 10: F5 (quicksave) and F9 (quickload) are your friends. before you talk to someone, regardless if it is to get a quest or for reputation hit the F5. With wooing and reputation, if you ask the wrong thing, you can try again after hitting F5 bt it is especially important when accepting a quest. As example, there might be a request for food assistance, this request might involve berries. Berries are ripe in summer. It is possible to get this quest in Spring when the berries are unripe and don't count for the quest. Also the berries you might have left from last summer will have degraded in quality to much to be counted effectively rendering the quest unfinishable. Quests fail when not completed before the end of the season with the exception of the main quest line and Alwins quest line.

First thing I do on a new game is go around the map, steal everything, sell it and get around 2k in coin. I make sure my last stop is where I can buy the pickaxe so I don't have to worry about searching for rocks. Not everyone's play style but I have fun and it only takes 45-60 minutes. I also build just west of the spawn point in the large open flat area. No water but for me water is never an issue as I carry a flask I stole.

Another tip I would add is get married ASAP. I didn't get any sort of warm clothes before my first winter I lost health from the cold. Fortunately I had been able to get married before winter came so I was able to just ask my wife to heal my injuries any time my health started getting low. I imagine eventually I'll have a playthrough that I can properly get prepped before the first winter, but having the wife saved me this first time through.

I don't know if it was different when this video was made, but with tip #7 there is a skill you can unlock in diplomacy that lets you see what people are (Peasant, Snob, or Naturalist). Depending on what they are, they will like different things. Like if you tell a snob "How's the job?" they will do +12, but a peasant will do -5. (I might've mixed the snob and naturalist, but i know both of them like that saying xD)

The quickest way I’ve found to make money, in the early game is setting one of my macro keys to press & release the E key while toggle, p sticks, rocks and herbs until you level up extraction twice, the first point should be spent on extraction knowledge, which double the points you get for each item you collect, the second point use it for Survival Sense. Then you simple toggle the macro and tap survival sense to find patches of herbs. Run to the patch and collect them then click the L alt again to find the next patch. Use any rocks sticks you get to make stone knives. I made over 2000 gold when I entered the starter town the first time.

I am using the caveto the north for the excacvation shack. then I spread out the settlement and have farm feilds between buildings with houses sort of split between my industrial side on the closer to the first bridge and the near side that has my main agricutlural area merging one sprint worth of energy to gostoviait has me access everything but the mine without using more than a sprint, and tons of berry bushes in that arae tons of wood lots of level land lots of stones and animals no dangerous animals really and it is sort of cnetral to everything. there are the limestone hills and clay deposits just between the hill and the river... you also have two river systems to go up or down on either side of the river and connections to pretty much all the roadways.

also using the forests on the gostovia side so the forests on the opposite side can be kept full for the hunting lodge agriculture next to the river on both sides. having the sewing closer to the hunting shack to make use of the leather harvested. Just started playing this today, and my only real complaint is that IMO either the days need to be longer, or a season should be a day or two longer. I think it’s easier to make wood hoes, I get a crap ton of sticks then start cutting trees right outside the town and making them into hoes. Yes cutting trees takes a bit of time, but so does traveling and finding stones for the axes, and you can make up to 4 hoes for every tree, assuming you harvest the right trees, plus hoes actually sell for a bit more money.

Longer seasons is the biggest complaint seen, but what people don't realize, at the beginning, you're trying to get so much done to get to your building goals, that it does seem too short. It's about 60 hours of game time just to year 5. You'll be playing a lifespan, then if I understand right, playing on through your heir. So by year 10, you'll be wishing time went faster. I'm on year 4, and 3 days feels pretty comfortable. It's the hours of daylight that go too fast! (I work through the night most of the time) If you don't sleep, that doubles your season time.
@johnpatz8395
3 жыл бұрын
Tanya S true, I hadn’t considered how it would effect the balance later in the game, although optional quests expiring at the end of the season is annoying with the 3 day season, but other than that the length isn’t bad. Yes, I’d like days to be a bit longer as well. Now that I’ve played a bit more the thing that annoys me the most is the limited carry capacity of my character, and low storage capacity of buildings. We shouldn’t be able to carry 1000kg, but I’d like to see it increased maybe 10kg, or not count weight of items in hot bar. Also a handcart to haul extra would be great.

@@johnpatz8395 yep, product transport is my only gripe. You see thing like log sleds and hand wagons in the game around the towns, so for us to not be able to build one seems odd. It was a part of life then, an important one, so I hope they add it later.

The thing is that on 11:00 min you talk about how to get the vilagers aproval rate go up ... but i think you are wrong (not entierly) ... but you should hold LEFT ALT button when close to a vilager to chek his/hers stats... the icons that pop up on top of their heads (mining/crafting/bartering/farming/fishing) and base on theri stats you can guess their profession ... so lets say they have 1farming skill 1mining but 3 hunting its most likely that that person was a hunter ... so whenever you talk to that person (the hunter) you better pick answers relted to their profesion ... for exzample if you talk to a hunter pick the line : i ricently got in to hunting got any tips? thats one of the options and it will give you +5 afection ... if the vilager is a farmer you beter pick the line: I just got back from working in the field its a tough job ! ... so in short chek their skills to learn their profesion and talk to them about related stuff... that is how you get their afection and once it gets above 70% you can recruit them to your vilage... well i wish this information will help you in your gameplay ;) well thats it so cya around till than gl and hf :D

oh and on 11:26 you picked the line: have you heard any gossip lately ? that worked because that person probably has a higher bartering/social skill and gossip is related to the socila aspect also a person with bartering/social skill is more eficient if you rectuit them as a tavern keeper , tax colector or something like that ... so yea chek their stats with LEFT ALT when you are close to them ... :D
@Zivaw161
3 жыл бұрын
sry still here :D but this is also another tip that could help you ... if you hold LEFT ALT when runing on grass fields or forests it will highlight the herbs that you can pick up ... there are 2 plants that are very comon and very usefull : -Broadleaf Plantain good for healing HP -St. Jhons Worth good for healing Poison but most important thing is that this 2 plants can be found everywhere and anytime of the year except for winter OFC... and you can sell 1 plant for 2gold... ok not that much but the weight of these 2 plants is 0.01KG that means if you gather 100 plants it will only take 1KG of your inventory and if you sell 100 plants you get 200gold ... however take in mind that i have 50KG space limit in my inventory so if you take your time to colect 5000 plants and sell them for 2 gold you get 10.k if im not mistaken ... so yea hold LEFT ALT when walking/ runing around the map and spam E like a madman with all your passion behind it :D and be like 2gold oh another 2 gold and another one .... to infinity and beyond xD

Just don't install and avoid all 7 things in this unrealistic medieval simulator. The one and only thing that is going for this game is the fact you never have to listen to your wife nag because npc's never talk.

This kid is a tool. He talks about making sure you find a good place to build and then doesn't show the location. Its just plain laziness. And bison and buffalo are 2 totally different animals. They're not the same specifies called a different name depending on where you are. Wow.
