Meditation for the Throat Chakra
Select a candle and some incense. Sit comfortably with your spine straight and your head resting on top of your shoulders. Take several deep breaths so that the muscles in your upper back and chest begin to relax. Drop your jaw and relax your tongue. Feel the tension release from your scalp and feel your eyes pulling inward. Light the candle and burn the incense, and focus your attention on your mouth and throat. Release any congestion you experience in this area by breathing deeply into it.
Close your eyes and visualize a turquoise blue, inverted pyramid suspended from your jaw. The apex of this pyramid is pointing down toward your heart. As you hod the image, expand the form and intensify the color. Feel the pyramid act as a seal that prevents energy from dissipating from your throat and becoming locked in your neck. Feel the tension at the back of your neck begin to relax and the tension in your throat and tongue loosen as you fill this area with turquoise light. Feel the energy radiating from your throat, expanding it and filling it.
