Recorded on February 9th, 2024. Learned and refined in approximately 5 hours.
3rd Movement: • Medtner: Piano Sonata ...
I actually started with the 1st movement because after sight-reading the first few pages, the music started to grow on me, especially after figuring out how to phrase the abundantly present opening motif. Again, I've never heard any recording of this piano sonata beyond the first minute or so, so pretty much everything here is purely my interpretation. Also, technique isn't impeccable, but more than sufficient to convey the musical message.
I also recorded two more fugues from Opus Clavicembalisticum the same day, so I might post those later today or during this week. They are pretty gnarly.
