Thanks for watching. Now that we have added the Campinawe trailer we will probably be making some changes to the rack and bed but don't want to rush into anything.

I absolutely love the video. I just purchased the same truck yesterday, but Ruby Red and I have been wanting to build an overland rig for years now. I've been trying to find a bed cover/ roof rack that looks good and what yall have is perfect.

Thanks so much - that's awesome! That roof rack comes in different heights. I think there were 3 options if I remember right. I believe we have the middle one - we wanted to keep it a little lower so the tent wouldn't stick up above the cab too much. The one downside though is that you can't reach into the bed from the side unless you have really skinny arms, lol!

We enjoyed seeing the upgrades you've added to HEKNBAK. Seems like your well equipped inside for the electronics! Hope you have many happy adventures in it!

We like ours! There are so many options for how to set it up. We have switched from the rooftop tent to a teardrop trailer now so are considering changing out some things! We're installing a hidden winch mount soon as well. Thanks for watching!

Offroam makes mounts that mount into the frame of your air vents for F-Series trucks and I use one in my superduty… super stable and ZERO drilling!

I am thinking of something like this but I find the likes of Tacomas too small inside and the likes of F150s too big overall. Do you find F150 too big for day to day stuffs or driving in trails? Do you get used to it? Thank you. And you have a really nice voice.

@@induction7895 thanks so much! I didn't think I would like driving it on the day to day - my previous car was a compact sedan - but the F150 is my daily driver now. I wouldn't want to drive it in the city, lol! We don't have too many problems with it on trails but we do get pinstripes. I've gotten pretty comfortable driving it in both situations. We considered a Tacoma, but we also felt like it was too small inside. We've actually been talking about getting a bigger truck and a slide in camper in a couple years when we are ready to travel fulltime, but then we would want to get something smaller for trails, lol! It's really hard to find a "perfect" all purpose solution. Thanks for the great comment!

i have exact same setup as you. retrax cover with voodoo rack. How did you mount the weboost? do you mind sharing?
@HEKNBAK

Not at all! We used the bracket that came with our Weboost. It's attached to the rack - we drilled holes and attached it with stainless steel rivnuts and bolts. Here is a closer picture: drive.google.com/file/d/19dussjPW2AcDGqY3rwl8BX63NO3RyCTP/view?usp=drivesdk

@@HEKNBAK sweet that is wat i am going to do. Hopefully I have enough rom to get a drill bit otherwise i would need to take the rack off or something.

@@Sanjuk0522 we used a right angle drill with a short bit from the cab side. It's gonna come down to how close your rack is to the cab lol!

As if all that crap is necessary just to take a trip I do it sometimes every weekend with my grandkids in a old suburban rooftop ten and matches no problem

Very true! It isn't necessary to have a bunch of upgrades to get out and have a good time. Making memories!
