You can now meet the adorable new red panda, Nilo, at the Bristol Zoo Project!
A female will also join the zoo later this year as part of our breeding programme to help protect this endangered species.
CONSERVATION
Native to the eastern Himalayas and south-western China, red pandas are classified as endangered by the IUCN.
The wild population is thought to be as low as 2,500 individuals, which are threatened by habitat loss and poaching.
HABITAT
Nilo lives in the brand new red panda habitat at Bristol Zoo Project. The habitat is dominated by the large cedar tree in the centre, which he loves to climb!
