Watching, I think it was Shed & Buried, Classic Cars, when I saw what looked like a small Honda dressed in a full fairing. So I came looking for it & found this. Great to see this lovely classic bike being cared for.

That's not a bad bike as it stands. It will make a lovely little bike once it has been tinkered with......

...this sort of bike would be ideal for winter work commutes - I'm struggling with a YBR125 at the moment , which I'm using so that my Hornet doesn't get salt damage , or even it sliding down the road in this 6 month long winter ! Best wishes on your new channel.

Bought a CB200 brand new in the early 70s, loved that wee bike. So glad you have your own channel, was ecstatic when I found it.

When I think Benley my mind goes to the pressed steel fork and frame models. A 1967 Honda 50 was my first bike. It was a year old when I bought it and it cost me 60 quid. I think they were 100 quid brand new ! I had a brand new Rickman Bonneville 650 in 74. It was 800 quid.

Had the CD185 Benley, rode it for years around Cornwall when i lived there. Brought it up to Faringdon Oxon when i moved and ended up selling it to the Landlord for two weeks rent £150, he did alright there. Good machine. It's not all bad as i've replaced it with a '79 BMW R100 thats another story.

A great surprise th find this, most interesting. You are building a varied stable now. The Candy Orange is a knockout, specially the front mudguard. Could you give us a walk-round of it? lf there is already one somewhere l have not found it. Yet. How will you find the time? l take it that the CB1000's are still an ongoing commercial undertaking. Subscribed now.

I was a courier in Manchester in the late 70’s with W Photoprint (shout out to any ex riders out there). We had CD 175’s. Ugly tin plate things but great tools for the job. Would certainly give one garage room now. Trouble was I was riding an old Brit bike to and from work so after riding a Honda all day, going home I would often try to snick my brake pedal into first at the lights, or stamp on the gear lever and wonder why I didn’t stop…..

Just found your channel. Your a natural talking to the camera, not easy to do, I actually felt you were talking to me. I'm amazed any of these 2 strokes are still around, when I started work they seemed to disintegrate as you rode them and the advice I had was wipe it over with an oily rag. Happy days though. Now aged 58 and riding a 1200 bandit

I think you'll find the CD200 Benley is a 4 stroke, not 2 stroke.
