The video of the 4 Hours of Le Mans, the 2nd round of the European Le Mans Series, shows you insides of my team ALGARVE PRO RACING under the leadership of Stewart and Sam Cox. Everyone in the team lives motorsport as a passion. They do a great job.
It was great that so many fans came to the ELMS. The fan hours with open pitlane and free access to the grid went well. Dear fans, come and visit us at one of the next ELMS races: MONZA, BARCELONA, SPA or PORTIMAO.
What an unfortunate race. Bent and I shared the 4 hours. He did the first two hours as a triple stint, I did the last 2 hours as a triple stint.
Bent did a great job and took the car from P15 to P4 against most of the bronze and silver drivers. Pit stop cleaned up it was P6/P8 because we were unlucky for the first time in the first change: one lap after stop 1 there was FCY, which other teams used for the pit stop. So 20 seconds were quickly lost.
Our team was also unlucky in other situations through no fault of its own. At the end, the FCY came 2-3 laps too early, and we were on course for the podium again.
The hope was then buried by a puncture on the left front. I had collected a piece of carbon flap and it gradually destroyed the slick. This unnecessary pit stop a few minutes before the end of the race threw us back to P8.
Result after 126 laps a 4,909 km = 618,534 km.
