They need to build modern markets for vendors. The old ugly dirty markets across Jamaica make the country look bad.

Was watching African tigress in Barbados. the market street looks pristine with colourful brick tiles .It's obvious that these Councillor lacks knowledge. Holnes shouldn't of to be telling them to do it . Which has done

All the markets across the island need to be upgraded? When the Port Antonio market burned down I thought the local government would have a vision to build a better market with a fire sprinkler system?

Most in the diaspora and those in Jamaica want to invest in the country but as we all know the hight of crime mix with corruption is their biggest concern and fear Jamaica is a beautiful little island it’s a pity those who are determined to destroy it won’t take a time out to see what a beautiful place and a beautiful diamond it is . Most of the people are so friendly and welcoming we just need them to be more kind loving and caring to each other just as they are with visitors

Just hoping the Carib Cement Company can find a decent tenant to lease the Rockfort Mineral Bath to in order to have that valuable asset up and running.

When you say they are tearing down the old for new that makes me nervous. I do believe that there is a policy in place that indicates older Georgian buildings must be restored in keeping with their historic design aesthetic.

They are not tearing down any older buildings, they will be renovating these buildings, he is merely airing his own opinion as if its factual, however it's just his warped opinions and his hatred of historical buildings.

They shouldn’t just build a lot of lifeless modernist buildings like the us for downtown but stick the the same Georgian architecture already built it would really give a different look to the rest of Kingston and also make downtown walkable so people could enjoy walking around that district.

When will they develop monetegobay. It's also sticky there, and there is a lot of tourism money pumping into the country from that sector. Montego Bay needs to be expanded into a city. With all the hard work on that end it needs also major attention as a tourist capital. ❤

Moren Seymour and Maurice Facey have been driving the redevelopment of Downtown Kingston for the last 50 years and its through their efforts and Governments of the past, in particular the Seaga led Finance and Planning Ministry that you see most of these multistory Buildings you are referring to. What you hear being announced now is just talk. It takes much more than a little revetment wall here, and a little mural on a wall there.
