Okay, time to finally get posted another video series! I have had the base videos recorded of this series for quite awhile, I just needed to find the time to split them into parts for KZitem. I actually have several games recorded similarly in that the base videos are done, but I still need to split them so they will fit KZitem's restrictions.
This Mega Man 6 run was actually recorded BEFORE my Mega Man & Bass videos! This was originally my first time trying out stages using Roahm's rules of Buster Only, No Damage (aside from my Mega Man 9 Perfect Run videos since I mostly stuck to those rules before even knowing Roahm). Thus, much like said Mega Man 9 videos, I will go Buster Only, No Damage for the robot master stages.
Flame Man's stage is one of the harder ones to pull this off during, but hey, that does not stop me from trying! The stage itself is kind of tricky with lots of traps and troubling enemy placement, but it is not so bad. Flame Man... he can be a problem if you do not memorize the save distance to stand from him to avoid getting hit by his pillars of flame.
The main problem with this sort of run of Mega Man 6 is the game... really has controls issues. For some reason the controls in Mega Man 6 are much more stiff than the first 5 games. If you move around with the d-pad while trying to jump or slide, far more often than should be considered acceptable, the jump or slide will simply fail to work. Most of my attempted recording runs ended this way as it is really awkward. How did such a problem get through beta testing?
Also, as mentioned at the beginning of the video, today is my friend, Black Raiden's birthday. =n.n= Happy birthday to her and may many more healthy years come to pass!
