Love the cover art on this box. Really catches your eye and makes you want it on your shelf.

My kids really like it. It is VERY simple and there's not a lot to keep track of.

My 7 and 11 yr old love this game; its fun and being able to keep a card under a building for the next turn make this game fast and fun. Thanks Zee :)

It sounds like there needs to be some sort of push your luck mitigation. To keep with the loose theme, add some way to purchase or gain armour that could last one round where, if you would normally lose all your stuff, you could spend the armour to only lose half. The armour could be gained through buildings or even by trading in a certain amount or combination of cards. Make it so it's not easily accessible where everyone has it every run, but attainable for those who want to deep dive. Maybe an expansion for this would be a good idea to add some more depth and mechanics.

EHngel there are cheap cards you can buy that will give you treasure if you bust and let you keep some of your lost haul. So how much you mitigate is already in there. One or two cautious rounds to get those then start pushing. Either way, I'd still love expansions. ;p

@@bornofashes - good to know. The review made it sound like there was no mitigation. I really want to play this game myself but being a Target exclusive makes it more expensive. Being Canadian, it's $34 from the website with a $25 shipping cost, too much for me

This game could easily have a mining theme. I like this game, I was planning to get Machi Koro, but I like this a bit better. I hope the expansion add special abilities similar to the Panda Power Up expansion of King of Tokyo. Each player can have special abilities like: start with 2 green arrows | when you bust, lose half instead/keep one | regenerate health | if two or more players bust, choose one of those players and take one random card from the pile they would have lost. | green arrows avoid all monsters | gain one card when you sit out with one health.

I'd argue that for some, failing in a level encourages them to push their luck even more as they try to come back. Not everyone, of course...but that's part of the gamble, right? Do you take it easy and struggle for the win, or do you really go all-in knowing that you have to push to reclaim the lost ground?

Thanks for the review. It would be nice to have some comparisons in the review. What's most important to me and many others is what this game offers over very similar well-known games such as Diamant, Celestia and Deep Sea Adventure. The main thing seems to be the buying of buildings, but doesn't that just exacerbate the runaway leader issue these games have?

Incan Gold meets Machi Koro it looks like. Not a terrible idea.

I kept waiting for the nod to Incan Gold/Diamant in the review. Seems like an obvious comparison to make. One thing I was not quite clear on - do your hearts replinish from level to level?

Yes they do reset each time you run the level

Good review, but there is a card that allows individuals who fall behind because of them failing a run to gain 2 coins for being in last place. So if you are in last place those cards will really help.

So, this Celestia or something else entirely for a light, not to light, push your luck game?

I didn't get or dig this game either, from all i've seen. I may have missed something, but for me the game is quite confused. I'm sure it's all clear to Ryan, but seems like a communication issue possibly.

Maybe you could lose half your cards randomly instead of losing your entire hand.
