Problem with the clutch pedal and clutch master cylinder connection on Renault Megane 2 Sedan 1.6 16V (with VVT, 82kW, 2008; bought it with 35 000km, now it has ~55 000km). It keeps pooping out (loud knock).
Hopefully it is the cause of random stutter / judder / shaking when the car is cold and trying to accelerate in first gear from full stop. In cold and wet weather it is more pronounced. From 2nd to 3rd gear it is not noticeable. The car starts to move, but the last few millimeters of the clutch release, it shakes / stutters horribly. Also, if you release the clutch in higher RPMs, the shaking becomes faster and stronger so it is definitely connected to the whole clutch assembly.
It stops to stutter after few first shifts and the car runs fantastic until it is again very cold (leave it over the night).
It feels like your engine mounts are bad, but as I said, after a few shifts it runs flawless (it can go after 10 seconds if you shift a lot).
When the connection is like it should be, you can feel the difference when releasing the clutch instantly. It is much more softer, especially for the last few millimeters (when the actual shaking occurs).
Will try to fix it with a zip tie or something like that will hold the two parts connected.
FIXED:
I've put a zip tie to keep the clutch pedal and the master clutch cylinder head connected all the time. Everything is fine now, no more judder or shaking!
Just put the zip tie (and tight it) when the clutch pedal is fully released. That's the position when it is strained the most, and as you push the pedal it relaxes a little so no addition strain on the master cylinder when the pedal is pressed.
