If only we could have enlisted both of Mir and ghalib, this is sufficient in bringing urdu language among the top class languages of the world.

Mywonderjam Saab,. Your comment has come to my notice only today and therefore, this belated response ! Your assessment of the great Mehdi Hasan Saab is totally unjustified and unacceptable ! As all of us are aware,. an overviewage-old dictum stipulates that - " Speech is silvery : but silence is golden !" Propriety demands that If someone doesn't have anything to say, the best course open to him is to keep quiet ! Would you kindly let this august forum know as to who had given you the unfettered freedom and authority to sit on judgement and decide the merits of the singing attributes of a singer of the stature and reputation of the great Mehdi Hasan Saab ! Have you got the required credentials and expertise to do so ! You should better stand before a mirror, look at the image, and ascertain your own status before pointing a finger on someone ! Perhaps, the mirror never tell a lie ! -- Amarendra Borah, Former Commissioner and Secretary, Finance Department, Govt Of Assam (India).

Qais came and became the custodian of (my) tomb, after me No place in the desert remained empty (desolate), after me, I have to rip open the collar of (my) shroud, just out of this concern (that) who will undo the fasteners of your robe, after me, Such a walker in the garden am I, that every morning in the garden I would reach first, and the morning breeze (would come there) after me, Keep the point of every thorn sharp, o desert of madness perhaps someone with blistered feet might come by, (even) after me, The birds of the garden shall weep covering their faces with 'daamans' of flower (petals) On every turn (path) the breeze will blow dust (clouds), after me, After my death she came to my grave, O Meer My Jesus remembered (my) cure, after me!
