step 1. Pull old iPhone 4/5/or 5s or even the new 12 out of drawer. Ya know , the models that have flat edges on the sides instead of rounded like the iphone 6 and higher (iPhone SE 1st generation will work as well since its the exact same frame as the iphone 5, but with updated internals) Step 2. Lay iphone on a flat surface screen side facing down, and then one by one put each stab wire on the back of the phone and gently press on either side of the wire to make sure one side doesn't start lifting off the surface of the phone. Gently keep tapping each end and make micro adjustments by ever so slightly bending the uneven side to make it so that you can sit the stab wires on a flat surface and it wont rock back and forth. Step 3. I never really thought about this until I saw (the man, the myth, the legend...3ildcat) use one of those big (big as in like 3/4 to 1 inch diameter syringes that are very useful for like lubing stabs on a keyboard without taking the whole thing apart or on prebuilt keyboards that weren't really made to be modified etc) and sticking the end of the stab into the plunger and then slightly twisting the opposite side of the wire thats inserted into plunger so that the plunger keeps one end of the stab wire steady while you ever so slightly make micro adjustments to get them level. Sometimes I've received my Durock or c3 stabs and they are perfectly level out of the box...but always good to double check. Also, if you're OCD like me and want to make sure you're on a level surface...iphones have a built in bubble leveler app without having to download any app. Just go to your "compass" app that comes installed by default and swipe to the left after you open the app and voila you know can see just how level your desk really is...all jokes aside. (except for the leveler app on iphones is a real thing, comes in handy) The purpose of using something like a iphone 4 or 5 is so that even if your desk or whatever surface you are using isn't completely level then setting the phone on it and using the backside of the phone for your base makes it so that no matter what you will always have a flat surface (and obviously the contrast of a black iphone against gold/silver etc wires makes it the perfect little device for doing this. In case you read all of that and dont have a damn clue what I'm referring to as far as ....everything. Go watch Wildcats new video of the Melgeek Mojo65 and he shows every single step (and if you put the youtube video at .75 speed you'll see him using the plunger/syringe without the needle attached as a nice tool to use for leverage. (In closing, if you are ever interested in purchasing a Melgeek product please for the love of god use a proxy or something that already has them in stock. Melgeek was a nightmare with communication and I finally received my Mojo60 ember dusk hotswap bluetooth keyboard after 17 month's. Despite the 3 emails assuring me that it had been shipped 6 months ago. 🤦♂️ They have some nice quality items, but it's just getting them to you before you die of old age is the issue )
